Thanks Darlene, enjoy your day.

I finished my Jubilee garden flag this morning. I usually hand sew my garden flags but today I hot-glued it. I will see if it holds up as well as the sewn ones. I got a little crazy with yo-yos but I think it looks spiffy. I used cloth-backed plastic tablecloth with a extra wide border for the base.

Denise have a safe journey home.

Hi everyone, I am back home ! We had a great trip, saw lots of amazing places and ate great food. Italy really does know how to make delicious pasta dishes!! Warren has a ton of photos on his camera so I will try and get a couple to share here.

It is always good to be back home after a trip. While I enjoy seeing new places, I really start to miss my home after about a week. Home Sweet Home!!

Sara, I bet your Jubilee flag is really cute and the hot glue should work, I think. I need to get busy making myself some Jubilee decorations. It is coming up soon!!

Denise, glad you had a wonderful visit with family too. I briefly have run through the threads and things seem to be humming along here at the HenHouse.

I keep hearing from friends up North that Winter just won't quit! Enough wet and cold stuff !!! Here in Florida, we came home to cool temps and evidence of lots of rain. Everything is busting out green around here.

We are off this afternoon to drive down to Orlando to have dinner with a cousin of Warren who is visiting other family for the weekend. He lives out in Arizona and does not get this far East very often.

Winnie, it is good to hear you are safely back home after an awesome trip to Italy, and all the tasty food.

Glad you are back and have a safe visit to see Warren's cousin.
Have a great week end everyone.

Love you all!

Winnie, so glad you had a nice trip and made it back home safe and sound!

I am still in Ohio with the kids and grands but head home via PA on Sunday then home on Monday. Have been having a great time and will miss these girlies but hoping to come back the end of May for Em's ballet recital.

Like you said though it is nice to get home. I have a to do list a mile long.

Linda, I agree you will need a vacation from your vacation. Hope you have a lot of fun.

Winnie glad you had a good trip.

We were fortunate the snow passed by us here. It's been in the 50's here the for a couple of days and going into the 60's the beginning of the week. Yay! Sheets on the line tomorrow.

This weekend is the huge yrs sale that they have here in the housing area where my dd and family live. So JT and I took Violet, the littlest one with us and walked a huge block hitting the sales. I found a nice little dressing up purse for when we go out.
When we were almost back I found a few cross stitch magazines that have one picture done in three steps so I picked those up and a hand painted in Holland cup and a little shoe done in Delft from Holland. Total cost for today...1.50.

Now those are some deals, Denise!! I am sure the Crossstitch books have lots of lovely things to make as well. My Mom used to get them and then pass along to me. I used to do a lot os cross stitching , but a few years ago I tried to do something simple and it was very frustrating. The pattern was a simple Fall counted cross stitch pattern , but I just couldn't seem to count right!! LOL!! I lost count of how many times I had to redo my stitches. I made myself finish the project but decided maybe I wasn't going to do more. But who knows. Maybe I just need a few really simple projects to get myself back in gear.

Great cross stitch magazines Denise. I have the same ones. Beautiful projects in them.

Yard sales are just begging to get started around here. Love them!

It feels good to be home. I started Spring cleaning over again. LOL! I managed to get the pantry cleaned out and back in order. I need to hit the bedroom next, it seems to be a catchall at times, but I've been getting caught up on laundry. It feels good because I have a plan as long as the stamina holds up everyday. I hate getting sidetracked but there always seems to be something. Today it was the dr. and groceries. Tomorrow I have my weekly luncheon with a couple of friends. So hopefully I can get back into it on Friday.

Denise, A few years ago I decided not to make plans to get things done. Life constantly gets in the way. Besides I have a retired DH who is home 24/7. Lol...I used to want him to have a hobby or friend to do things with, but it hasn't happened. Each new day brings something surprising and fun. At least he encourages me to get out and do things. If it gets done around here great, if not, there is always later.#128522; well except for free trash day twice a year. Lol.....

I am lucky in that Warren has his own projects he works on and I have mine. We are often together at home but enjoy each other's company even if we are different places most of the day. We each have days when we are out doing various things but we both love being retired and get to plan most of our days.

This weekend we will be packing and weighing our luggage for our China trip. The flights within China have very strict limitations on checked bag weight (44.2 pounds) and especially on carry-on luggage - 11 pounds and certain measurements. That means we cannot bring our normal carry-on luggage, because even though it measures correctly, it weighs almost 8 pounds without anything in it - a bit limiting. LOL! I have a shopping-bag-type bag I got in Ireland that zips at the top. It weighs .25 pounds, so that will be my carry-on. Ed's will be his camera case.

Also, I will probably not be on Internet much at all. Even though the 8-days on ship will have free WiFi, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter usage is not allowed in China; neither are iPhones, and both Ed and I have iPhones. :-( I think this will be good for us, because we spend too much time on the computer. We are taking our tablets so hopefully we can at least keep our email mailboxes down to a minimum when we return home. Wish us luck. LOL!

Linda enjoy your China adventure.

Canning in my Yellow Rose Cottage so I can see the east side of house and the two hummer feeders I put up. Saw two hummers at the same time this morning. I had wondered if it was just one hummer who went from feeder to feeder. I have 2 on the east side, 2 in front, and one in the backyard on the butterfly bush. It's not blooming yet but it should be soon.
