I've always wanted to put in a butterfly bush but just have never gotten around to getting one. Maybe I'll mention it to JT since our anniversary is coming up soon.

Have lots of fun Linda. Such an exciting trip!

Hummers are back here now. Still not much in blossom though. Spring flowering trees should be soon. Our redbud looks like it's getting ready to blossom.

The apple tree is starting to blossom as here as well as the lilacs. Not to many lilacs on the bushes this year.

Be just got home from a weekend beach visit with great friends. While it was too cold to even think about getting into the water, it was wonderful to sit on the porch and listen to the waves roll in a walk some on the beach. Yesterday afternoon, we also went into St. Augustine because we have not visited there in many years. We were excited to find it all fixed up with fresh paint, landscaping and new shops and places to eat. We definitely will be going back there soon just to spend more time walking about .

Can you believe this week is going to bring us into May? The speed at which time is flying this year is crazy!!! Hehehe, but when I think about it more closely............only 3more months until the late July apples are ready for enjoying in North Georgia!!!!!!

Is everyone getting ready for our Jubilee celebration next weekend? I know Sara is enjoying her flags and porch decorations already. This week, I need to get my herbs planted and my apron up to fly for the weekend . I am thinking about making a new breakfast recipe from MaryJane's cast iron cookbook for Saturday morning.

Winnie I got all my Jubilee outside this afternoon. Beginning to look like Jubilee 2018 at my house. I didn't hang a sunbonnet at the front door with an apron because all of them clashed with Linda's bee apron. I may hang one in the Yellow Rose Cottage. I have an apron hanging on the back of a chair so the bonnet could go there. I hung the apron I made for the first Jubilee on the back of the metal bench on the carport sitting area. I sat out there and peeled carrots and zucchinis for muffins. It was nice to watch hummingbird at the feeder and Annie could explode the tiny side yard on her chain.

This last day in April I have been thinking about names, titles, or what we call things. Annie and I were out on the former carport when it came to me it was becoming more like a porch than a carport. My 95 Cougar has been sold and slowly I am converting the carport into a "side porch". Now that I have decided to call it that it has taken on more of a feel of a porch. When we repurpose areas in our homes I think it's important for us to call them my their new name. A former bedroom is now the craft room - the old den is now the sitting room/library. I'm big on naming homes and rooms so from now on Annie and I will be on the side porch.

We changed our "living room" into the library after dad passed and we remodeled the room. I think it's great you have a side porch Sara. My mom made the carport at their house into a porch. It was a very nice little spot to relax in the evening.

Thanks Denise. Happy you saw the bee in the apple blossom. Don't see bees much around here anyone. Butterflies either. When I do see one I feel blessed.

I remember when you remodeled and I know you enjoy your library.
