Over this past year, we, as a Hen House, participated together in various projects to earn merit badges. In January the new list of badges comes out, but I wanted to invite you to join me in monthly merit badge challenges.

January is National Thank You Month. My suggestion for this would be to do the "Farmgirl Gratitude" badges from Each Other. I have already earned all three badges for that one, so I am going to focus on "Families Forever," as my family is something I am extremely thankful for, and I've been wanting to start a game night for some time now.

So is anyone going to join me???

So glad to see there is interest! Joyce and RoDonna - which badge(s) will you be going for this month? Farmgirl Gratitude or Families Forever? Which level?

So as I was applying for badges the other day, I realized I have not fulfilled all the requirement for Farmgirl Gratitude expert. I have not finished writing all my thank yous. So I will actually be working on two badges this month. I actually "cheated" and started the Families Forever last Friday, which was still December. We played the game Headbandz. So much fun!!! Anyways, i would love to hear about different favorite family games!

How is everyone doing with their January badge challenge??? I have written part of my letters for the Farmgirl Gratitude, and we had game night again this past Friday night for the Families Forever. We played Phase 10 this time, and it was such wonderful fun!!!

I'm feeling rather swamped right now with getting back to teaching the kids/piano so I haven't done anything this week. Hopefully this upcoming week I will be back in routine and able to get at it! We did, of course, get to our game night again :)

I have been working on the Beginning level of Farmgirl Gratitude since Jan. 1st. I've been combining it with the 3 levels of the Relaxation badge. So far, so good...!

Hi everyone :)
I joined the Sisterhood last week and was just added to Wildflowers. I don't think there's a chapter near me so I am excited to join a virtual group. I am still learning all about the Sisterhood and can't wait to start working on a merit badge or two.

Looking forward to getting to know you all,

Laura

Thanks for the welcome :)

I am a mom of two - one in college and one in middle school. I think I am busier with my son now that it is just us two at home. He's in Scouting so I am hoping we can work on our merit badges together. :) I haven't decided where to start - hoping to curl up with the list and get started soon.

I live in a small town - work full time at a university - and looking for ways to slow down the craziness of our life a bit.

Nicely done Joyce! On a different note, Ben received his letter. I read to him about the pigs being cold because they were in the freezer and he paused and then literally burst out in laughter! He still goes around saying "the pigs are cold because they are in the freezer." I was worried with him finding it so hysterical that he didn't get why they were in the freezer, but he totally does!!! Love it <3
