Yes it is moving so fast. The best part is that school will be out in 15 days! Yay.
It has been a rough year there this year!

So quiet time.

Yes, it is hard to believe that June is here and only 6 more months until we will be starting December 2016! It has turned complete summertime down here with lots of heat, humidity, and thunderstorms. No more cool breezes for us for about 4 1/2 months.

I have been catching up on so many things around here and trying to decide some goals for this Summer. There are several UFO projects hanging out there and some ideas I want to look into for new projects. I am hoping June will be my month to get organized and do some new things. We shall see what happens.

I hope everyone here had a nice Memorial Weekend and doing well!

Most school districts here in Texas are already out. They start in August and many finish the last school day before Memorial Day.

When I was growing up, We started the day after Labor Day and Ended June 14 or 15.

Our school year was longer here this year. They get out on the 16th but they started before Labor day.
It was a very LOOOOONg year for the teachers and staff this year. Hopefully it will help next year with the 4 graduating 8th graders leaving.

Only 4 8th graders? You must be in a very small school.

Went down shore yesterday. Since I am so fair haired I slather on the sun screen. Had lotion on my face, wore lightweight long sleeves,it was actually cool on the beach and the water was freezing, but we dipped our feet in and it felt so good. Unfortunately I forgot to put lotion on my lower legs and feet. I was wearing capris. Today I am red and after walking the boardwalk for hours and then walking around today at the market, my feet were swollen. Spent the evening with my feet up reading to the girls. The swelling has gone down but I'll have to watch it tomorrow. I must remember sunscreen!

Oh you poor thing, that has to hurt.
I had a fair skinned friend years ago and we went to a place that had paddle boats and she took her shoes off and paddled around for a bit and then the next day she had blisters. I hardly even got pink. That was horrible.
Take care of that stuff it can make you really sick.

Thank you Darlene. Much better this morning but we will see how the day goes. We have had plans all week and due to the weather we have yet to do our picnic so it is today or not at all since they head back home tomorrow.

Winnie, Thanks we have done lots in spite of the weather. This morning we went to the Amish market so the girls could see how pretzels are made. They enjoyed that and the soft pretzel they ate. So far the picnic is still on. Everything is on the grill.

Sounds heaven, Denise, except for the sunburn! Today I'm devoting to a couple of sewing projects. I'm making a muslin of an outfit to wear to my nephew's s****y engagement party in the Hamptons. If you're not from this area, that's a really rich spot on Long Island in New York. Boy will I be a fish out of water, but hopefully I'll look nice in my outfit! Hee hee!

Happy Day!

Hello everyone,

Gorgeous day here in the way Northeast of NY! Today is my little Pumpkin's 19th birthday! Goodness, where did the time go? It sure flies when you're having fun. Gosh, I'm a little emotional today!

Aside from that, not much going on. Still keeping busy with life.

Enjoy your time by the beach Denise!

Amy, "fake it till you make it" lol

Cheers!

Happy Birthday to all the Birthday Gals! Hope their days are very special!
Hot and humid here, which is not normal for this time of year! Had a few little rain showers, more rain on the way for tomorrow, then cooler, dryer weather :)!
The Farmers Market opened today, it was so good to see all our favorite vendors once again! We so enjoy going to the Market on Saturday mornings - quite the "gathering spot"!
Talk soon!

Good afternoon! Beautiful day today here. Getting caught up on things after our visitors. It is supposed to hit the mid 80's today with humidity so I will be staying in working on some things in the a.c.
The sunburn is slowly fading but looks ridiculous on my shins and feet. The more I'm on my feet the redder it looks. Can't wait for it to fade. Never thought I'd want the Irish in me to show up so much. LOL!
Hope everyone is having a great day!

Oh my Denise, I am glad your sunburn is fading, hard when your skin is two colors and if you tan then you really see the difference.
Take care Denise.

Good Morning everyone,
Life seems to be busy these days with the garden, animals, grand children and summer projects. We have had beautiful weather so the garden is all up and I will be picking strawberries in a week or so. I have put several batches of rhubarb in the freezer, just need to make a batch oh rhubarb-strawberry jam and I will be done with that for the year. All my animal babies are growing fast and most have been weaned off bottles or special feed so chores are much easier. We are running for teeball and softball games to watch the granddaughters play and rodeos on the weekends to watch the grandsons ride. I am restraining the deck, building shelves in the vet room in the barn and working on a landscaping project. Summer's fly by so fast don't they. Have a great day very one.

Julie

Julie, I don't know how you do it all! I know the summer goes so fast. Being busy makes it seem to go faster I think.
