Just a reminder, the recipe swap is a one-to-one swap, you don't have to make multiple copies.

Partners:

Linda - Marilyn
Connie - Marlee
Carole - Amy

"Mom's Specialty"

Let's share our mom's best recipes this month, to get ready for Mother's Day! Almost every Mom has that one special dish that she's known for. The one no one can make well as she does. Share your mom's specialty with your partner as a tribute to mama's home cookin'! Tucks are fine, but not at all required.

Sign up by April 15

Mail out by April 29th.

This should be fun!

Happy Day!

I have a great one that my Dad always asked that Mom make when he had to take something to a pot-luck with one of his airplane groups. One time he wanted it when she was undergoing the pill form of chemo for her Multiple Myeloma, and because she didn't feel like getting up and making it, she talked him through it and he made it himself. He was NOT someone who was good in the kitchen. I don't remember him making much of anything. In fact, even when we cooked outside, she was usually the cook. :-(

Sign me up! Oh, and I don't mind sending to everyone. I've figured out a way to print my recipe card (as you have noticed) that I think look great!

I bought some of the postcard cardstock for printing and designed some, too. And, what if we put the address and stamp on the other side, and it can go in the mail as a postcard.

Welcome, everyone! Linda, that's a clever idea, you are a smart cookie! I'm even more excited about this swap now that I have my beautiful album from Marilyn to keep them in. It's such a work of art, I see something new every time I look at it!

Happy Day!

Amy I received your recipe for Ham, Asparagus, and Goat cheese Egg Muffin cups. It sounds good, I will get the ingredients this Saturday to make them. Hopefully my hens will give me a dozen eggs also.( Our local college has FFA contests, twice in April. School busses, etc. From all over the state come here. My daughter in law asked for eggs. She has always collected enough eggs from the college farm, but after the tornado ripped holes in every metal roof out there, the hens were terrified and did not lay as expected. They had never judged brown eggs until this year. Then she came to my fridge and her own and even went into our pens yesterday in search of white eggs. Hadlee said the kids have to determine if the eggs are grade A, etc. Then she said my eggs were grade A, because they were so fresh. I laughed...because I have read that the store bought eggs are about 45 to 60 days old when we purchase them.)
Also thank you for the little memo book with my initial, the bake cups with pictures of fruits and veggies and the coloring cards of the flapper girls that you made into a recipe card. Such a delightful package, thank you.

He looks like a sweetie. We have Cookie, a black and orange calico, adopted from the pound as a kitten. The girls were one and four, they named her after the kitty in Tommi De Paulo's book, COOKIE. She is a queen!!! Then we have Twister, born in the barn, an orphan baby, found and raised by my husband. He is so mean, but always gets up to escort me to the bathroom during the night. They are both almost 15 years old.

Yes, they are funny, Twisted is so nosey, always opening cabinet doors and drawers. He is also a "watch dog" of sorts.
