To work on the expert level of the Shopping Green badge, I'd like to organize a reusable bag swap. If you decide to participate I will pair you up with a partner to swap with. In the interest of keeping it "green" I will say that used reusable bags are ok, but they need to be in good condition. No rips, tears, seams coming apart, stains, etc. If you'd like to include something extra, or a tuck, I would suggest including a recipe for a homemade health/beauty product or homemade cleaning product.

Just to clarify, these do not have to be handmade. They just have to be reusable. Also anyone participating in this swap can use it to qualify for the expert level Shopping Green badge. You just have to also post under the 'Why we use reusable shopping bags' thread, and then you can apply for expert level.

Erin, please count me in! I was worried that I'd have enough time but this sounds doable. How many bags do we swap with our partner?

Just one. You could do more than one if you want to, but you only need to do one.

Just curious how to apply for the badge. When we get our swap bag do we apply letting them know we joined in a reusable bag swap and the henhouse where we posted and then copy and paste what we posted into the comments and send a photo of the bag we received? Can you tell I've not applied for too many?

That sounds right Denise. In order to qualify for the expert you should already have beginner and intermediate though. I don't know what badges you have, but just so you know.

Yay, Shannon!!! I'll be packing up your reusable bag to mail hopefully Saturday! DH is hospital and I will probably still be taking care of him and bringing him home tomorrow.

Thanks, Erin!

Thank you, FarmGirl friends, for good wishes for DH. We brought him home Fri. aft....He is much better! Doctor's decided it was acute pancreatitis. He had a passed a gall stone and will have gall bladder surgery in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, that will put an end to his pain for awhile.

So, I will finish packaging your bag and mail it tomorrow, Shannon.

Happy Spring!

Thank you, Erin! Yes, he is painless right now. He is still afraid to eat anything though. He is losing weight. He is happy about that. Of course, I am losing weight also because I don't want to east much in front of him.
