Never have been ice fishing but love to go in the early mornings of summer.

When we were up in Michigan there were people ice fishing. And what we thought was CRAZY, was they were on a section of ice that had 2 areas nearby where the ice was thinner and/or you could see the water. Seems like they could have found a safer place to sit? LOL!

Yes, people take chances here in Michigan on the ice to fish. Yes, they are crazy. I sure wouldn't do it this winter. To many days of warmer weather. The lakes can't freeze as deep as normal. Each year someone loses their life out on ice that is too thin.

Scary when so many people are willing to take dangerous chances.

I have done my share of ice fishing. But you couldn't get me near the ice now. I'm older and wiser and I'd like to live a few more years. Lol. People have nicer ice houses for fishing than many people have houses. They bring comfortable chairs, drinks, tvs, all the stuff from home. That makes it warm and cozy. But they have to remove the houses by Feb. 15. But some dip sticks still drive their trucks out on the ice to fish. That's when somebody will fall through the ice and have to be rescued. They will never learn. The fish taste better from a winter catch but it wouldn't be worth losing a car.

I'm so far behind on everyone's news, but you're all always in my thoughts and heart. I've been overwhelmed with everyone being really sick. We all had a terrible virus with a cough, which lasted almost three weeks. Lily coughed so hard she threw up repeatedly, mom's fever went up over 102, Bonnie had to drag herself into the hospital and work wearing a mask, then collapse at home. It was dreadful. But we're all just about better. Mom got extremely depressed during her illness, but that seems to have passed as well. Lily celebrated her third birthday last week, I can't believe it! My choir starts up again tomorrow, were preparing a service for Good Friday. So life is back to normal more or less. I've missed the henhouse!

Happy Day!

Amy, I am sorry you and your family have been so sick. I know how depressing it is to think you will never get well. Have you tried the product SamE with her? It is for joint pain and lifting ones mood. I take them and they really help me deal with my husband who has been depressed most of his life.

Amy, glad to hear that the family is now much better! Hopefully warmer weather will be coming your way soon and everyone can get outdoors in the afternoons and enjoy some sunshine and fresh air.

Amy, Glad to hear you all are on the mend!
Marilyn, What is SamE? I have never heard of it but if dad could take it even with all the meds he takes it sounds like it might help him. His doctor just put him on meds for his thyroid which no longer seems to be working.

SamE is a tablet (about the size of my Centrum silver vitamin), it comes in a box...blister packed. 18 in a box. I buy mine at Wal-Mart. I guess they run about 80¢ each. They help with joints but even better they help with your mood, outlook, etc. The doctor put my husband on an anti depressant, but he refused to take it. I bought two boxes of SamE and within a few days...wow...he was less negative, less critical, etc. I take them every other day.
I have seen them in Walgreens, a couple of different boxes and more expensive. I don't remember the exact price. Look down at the bottom of the shelf on the vitamin isle.
