Carole, snackers are always welcomed at my house. I finished up this morning with the roast/mushrooms and made broth with the chicken bones.

Carole I spent the last three days cooking so for the next several weeks all I have to do is add veggies and potato/pasta to the meat. Saves on cleanup too and I'm all for that.

I keep saying I need to try that idea... maybe one day! I usually fix a bunch of freezer meals before a baby is born...

Tonight is spaghetti. A nice and easy meal since I spent the day grocery shopping. That process always zaps me!!!

Shannon I like having cooked meat in the freezer than the sides are easy to do. I use meatloaf crumbed in spa sauces, wraps, and a quick chili.

Took a stroll down memory lane today and had potatoes fried in chicken fat. Hadn't had it in sixty plus years. One of these days I would like to do short bread cookies with chicken fat. The trouble with that idea is that I like well-seasoned food and I would have to roast a chicken with no seasonings. Don't know if I can do that or not.

Tonight we are going Indonesian, for Geography... Ayam Taliwang :) This is basically Grilled Chicken with a chili sauce over bok choy. Thinking we are going to have corn on the cob with it, since it is in the fridge ;)

That Lemon cake was not super sweet!! I loved it!! My friend Krista, who grew up in Germany loved it because their desserts have 2/3 less sugar then American recipes as a whole.

Made a big pot of lemon rosemary chicken taco soup. Had a bowl for lunch, 2 servings in fridge for the next couple of days, and 5 servings in freezer.

We had a roast with carrots and potatoes also. I cooked a big pot of pinto beans and cornbread. Then I roasted Brussels sprouts, asparagus and butternut squash. Have you had the sweet and sour glaze over roasted veggies. We all like it. I made two coconut cream pies. My son said last week it is his favorite. I sent one home with them. No more cooking today!

Connie, when the girls were little they opened every birthday gift that anyone received. We have always had simple family birthdays. They had a blast helping others reveal their treasures.
