Maryellen! Those are precious!!You send us SPG girls the cutest things also!!
I got a start on Lily June's baby clothes quilt , just a small start! LOL! I have to make a trip to the fabric store on Friday and take some of the clothes with me. I just sewed this on, I am going to use other colors around this block. This is going to be the center. I am going to do decorative stitching and embroidery on some blocks. I am going for a kinda scrappy look.

The foot pedal to my table top singer just quit! I checked everything I could, the machine is getting power, so I guess I will go to singer.com and see if I can get one.

Connie, That is going to be awesome! How special to make it with her clothes.
Maryellen, Your Bible Study group will be thrilled with your creativity and kindness. Thanks for sharing your photo's of all the goodies.
Winnie, We had Kumquats when we lived in Florida, my oldest daughter still loves them. We can find them occasionally at the grocery store, but not like picking them off the tree :(! That Jam/Marmalade sounds amazing! My hubby's second favorite, right after Fig preserves.
I'm off to help hubby add another layer of warmth to our Honey Bees! It's cold outside.
Hugs, Ruth

Connie, I love the Lily June quilt! That looks awesome. I finished the Valentines banner today but did not start the tablerunner yet. I will post a picture in the morning. Thanks for all the kind words. And the Bible study gals loved the cards and treats. Hugs, Maryellen

I'm finishing up the binding on a quilt I am donating. I will be working on it this weekend when Ed and I are RVing as reps for a friend's RV business. LOL! I hope I can finish sewing the binding on by hand so they can get pictures and sell lots of raffle tickets for the quilt.

I am working on some cozy sweater socks ( lounging socks) with beautiful fuzzy red yarn that Connie gifted me in my February swap. One down and one to go. They work up slouchy, soft, and really pretty!

Hi there!

Last night I decided to make something that's been on my "to do" for quite some time (we're talking over a couple of years now). You see, I have this stash of cute kid fabrics that I've been accumulating and just couldn't part with it. The incentive just wasn't there for me to do anything about it until last night! Ta Dah!

Check out my blog http://www.carolesquiltingetc.com for a tutorial by Randa (a business associate) on how to make these cute pillows! If I recall correctly, MFJ did have a picture tutorial done by Meg a few issues back. I think it's the same method.

*****WARNING**** they are addictive!

Cheers!

Love the fabric choices Carole. Making pillowcases are one of my favorite projects and I have quite a stack on hand just waiting for a purpose. Read your blog, that quilt you are working on is beautiful! Connie, Lily June's quilt will be gorgeous.

Julie, check with a children's hospital in a large city in your area. My granddaughter was in Cook Children's Hospital, in Fort Worth, for her brain tumor surgery. It was amazing what was given to her. She received two pillowcases with pillows inside, a hand pieced and quilted quilt, two teddy bears from the Build A Bear place downstairs (the white one had wrist bands just like hers and went to surgery with her.) There were many other gifts---out postings of love, but I remember how special those pillow cases were to her.

Carole, your pillow cases turned out so cute!! Love the bright and cheerful fabrics too.

Linda, for an easy lounge sock pattern, just look up any simple tube sock pattern, use extra soft fuzzy yarn and large needles. The current pattern I am using is a tube sock pattern. Very easy and you just knit in the round until you get it long enough to finish off the toe. I am making mine with size 8 but you can use size 6 too. It all depends on how thick your yarn is. I would not use bigger than an 8 or the socks will be too big and baggy (unless you are making them for a guy with big feet). I tend to have smaller feet and ankles so size 8 is the largest I can get away with .
