Linda - I hope you enjoy your cruise, as does Ed. Hubby and I went on one for our honeymoon. It was such a lovely time... And so relaxing! I remember feeling a little queasy the first night, but after that, I was just fine!

Yes, Julie - we are leaving out of Galveston. We are driving to Galveston tonight and staying in a hotel. Then we will leave our car there and they will shuttle us to the ship. Can't Wait!!!

My goodness Julie you have been busy! Finishing up on my Christmas cards today. Managed to get bread made and also finished getting the ornaments on the tree. Sidetracked a bit when we started them. I have almost all my gifts done and wrapped. Doing a couple stocking suffers and I'll be able to do more cookies. I have a swap to send out, then I will be finished with those.

Hello everyone,

Taking a small break from work. I'm sooooo tired! Gosh, I could take a nap! lol Not much going on here. I did manage to finish that customer's quilt on Wed. She picked it up today. Last night I decided to tackle my UFO. Did machine quilt one small project that I'll share when the binding is sewn on.

Linda, lovely projects you have been showing us. Enjoy your cruise! I bet it will be fun and relaxing! I've never been on a cruise before. Well, except those dinner cruises. Maybe one day!

Darlene, enjoy your Santa day! Will you be getting a picture of you and Santa?

Off to nap! I wish! Cheers!

There probably will be a picture of me with Santa, I am one of elves.
Looking forward to it being done. It will be fun though and if the weather holds out it should be great!

Have a good day.

Hi all. On the road again and almost to our destination. This trip couldn't have come at a better time. Had to say goodbye to my sweet fur baby Shelbyanne. Not sure if it was her age or something else. She had lost 10 lbs in about 3 weeks time. So my heart is sad but I know this time away will keep my mind off it for a little b8t. Looking forward to celebrating the little girl's birthdays on Saturday. One was yesterday and one is Sunday. Will check in here during naptimes! Lol.

Oh Denise i am so sorry to hear about Shelbyanne, It is so hard when you are not sure of why of their passing. My last one that passed on last summer was a surprise for me and I wasn't prepared. Each have their own little personalities and stuff and I still miss them.

You take care and enjoy your trip and have a good time anyway.

love and hugs

Thanks for your sweet words. Can always count on my sister's here to understand and lend support on things that are important to each of us. This morning we are here having our coffee. We made paper snowflakes after breakfast and now one is off to preschool and the other at the doctor. She has a nasty cough that has been hanging on. Suggested Momma take her to make sure it isn't bronchitis or something. Praying it is something not serious and they can suggest something for. Heading to pick up some Chick-fil-A gift cards for stockings. They love that place! Hope you all have a great day.

Thanks Darlene. A bit tired out tonight. This 3 and 5 year old can wear us out. Lol. We are babysitting tonight while momma and daddy took the evening to go to see The Nutcracker. They were able to get tickets a long time ago. The girls are in bed so we are just enjoying the rest of the evening.

Big Hugs Denise for the loss of your fur baby. They are all so precious to us aren't they. Enjoy your time with the grands. We received 4" of fresh snow today. It was beautiful drifting down. The temps were in the upper 20's so I bundled up and took a walk in it. I have been working on an elf on the shelf project for my daughter and needed to clear my head and process a new idea. I am working on it tonight and it is coming together just the way I planned. Love it when that happens.

Hugs

Julie,
Not so sure we are going to get any snow this year. Temps in the 60's here. A walk in the snow is always a good way to clear the mind. Glad it helped get those creative juices flowing.

It is definitely warm here in Ohio. Won't mind if we get a bit cooler at home.

My daughter was telling us about this huge bookstore by them. JT and I decided to go this evening while they were having their weekly bible study for young marrieds here at the house.
Connie I managed to find "Blue Jeans And Coffee Beans" and "Coffee Cakes and Snowflakes" and to top it off all their fiction was buy one get one free. So I came away with 3 books and 1 for my dad. I haven't read any of hers yet but am looking forward to it.

Heading home this morning, hate having to tell the girls goodbye. It has been a year and a half since we have been here and unless we can make another weekend trip sometime we probably won't see them till fall again. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, I'm back - and the cruise was great. And Ed liked it - at least a little. He was looking at future cruises on line after we got home. LOL! IMHO the entertainment was not up to par for Carnival at least not compared to previous Carnival cruises. Weather was pretty good, too. And, no Connie, I did not take any fabric, needle or thread with me. LOL!
