Good afternoon,

Brrrrr! There's a chill in the air! We even has sleet today! Thank you all for your kind comment on my booth.

Shannon, sounds like a wonderful day!

Amy, hope the companion works out for you. Crossing my fingers!

Julie, hum .... you're making me think that perhaps I ought to cover my strawberries! I would not have thought of that! Well, we sure have a lot of leaves!

I'm getting ready to leave for Houston on Thursday. I shall return the following Tuesday. I will make an attempt to pop on in every now and again.

I'd like to share another autumn photo. This is not far from where I live. I'm in a village surrounded by farm land. Love this little corner.

Take care!

Beautiful pictures Carole! Hope you enjoy your time in Houston, I bet it is a lot warmer there.

My brother called yesterday morning to let me know he was coming to see dad and would be here today. We didn't tell dad he was coming. Wanted to surprise him. He was definitely pleasantly surprised. He thought he wasn't going to see my brothers this year. So it has made him quite happy.

My daughter Leslie and family are going to be here Wednesday and I am so looking forward to seeing the little girls. Oh and their mom and dad of course. So with all this company I may be MIA for a little bit.
Hope everyone enjoys their evening!

Look at that sky, beautiful!

We had a surprise rain today and the students were horrible at school today. The bus kids had to wait in the school when it started raining and they got unruly and one boy pushed a teacher down. I didn't see it because I was going the opposite way but another adult did otherwise he would have gotten away with it. otherwise it was a good day.

It is foggy now, but not raining.

Crazy weather.
Have fun in Houston, Carole.

Carole, beautiful photo, looks like a magazine cover! Have a safe and happy trip. Denise, I'm so happy for your Dad, and glad you'll get to see the girls. But I hope all the visitors isn't taking a toll on you. Are you managing to find any "me" time? Shannon, your outing sounds like so much fun. We may try a corn maze this year. Julie, did you save me a piece of the apple cake? :) Darlene, you must get so frustrated sometimes. How old are these kids?

We met the companion, Kathleen, last night. She's wonderful, I'm so excited. She is very intelligent, has a degree in radiology, but chose to do this type of work because she loves the elderly. My mom really liked her. We're going to try things out on Saturday, they're going to find some new shoes for mom and go out to lunch, and whatever else mom wants to do. I think it's going to be great!

Happy Day!

Gosh, everyone is quite busy these days! Trips, work, family visiting, gorgeous Fall days....it is all a part of the vigor and pace that only the cooler days of Fall can bring us after long hot Summer! It is energizing to just read about it all. Wonderful!! We have had a few very cool days and nights down here and I have been loving every second. Temps back up to 80 again, so it is always short lived here. I've been knitting away with some new artisan yarns and planning a few knitted Christmas gifts. I love watching pretty yarn make up into something useful and nice.

Went fishing yesterday. Caught a few then it begin to get really cold so came home. Tonight it is supposed to snow a little maybe fishing is over for this year. Almost done with my husbands socks so I guess it's time to finish inside projects.
Sounds as if everyone had a good summer. I'm still trying to figure out where it went.

Smile a lot everyone will wonder what you are up to.

Gosh Marilyn, it is supposed to be 84 tomorrow and you might get a bit of snow! I guess you will have more time now with your indoor projects like you said. Time to make bread and warm soups and stews to keep warm!!

Nothing like fishing in those Colorado streams, invigorating isn't it.

No thanks for the snow though. We had some rain yesterday but today was warmer.

Have a good night.

Let the chickens out this morning they took a look around and went back into the hen house. I have my knitting group this morning I guess the heat needs to be turned up it is 30 but it sure feels colder than that. Want to finish my husbands socks today. Went to Colorado Springs for more roving and got a good deal on some Merino have no idea what I am going to make with it. Have to many other things to finish first. Your right Darlene fish were very good but we sure got wet.
Winnie you mentioned soup and stews they are always the greatest in the winter and they do get you warm really fast.

Thank you everyone for your kind comment on my fall picture.

Left home at 3:00 a.m. to catch a 6:00 a.m. flight out of Burlington. I arrived tired and hungry! It's official, Market has started! I had my first margarita! lol

Just came back from a dinner party. Lots of wonderful food and company. Met a sweet shop owner from Australia! I so enjoy their accent! lol Tomorrow is a full day of Schoolhouse - 20 minute sessions all day! My brain is usually fried by the end, but oh so informative.

I'm off to catch some zzzz. I'm beat! Hope you are all enjoying yourselves! Hugs from Houston! Cheers!

Things are finally calming down here. Daughter's family moved into their place and Leslie's (daughter #2) just left yesterday with her family to head home from our visit. So things are getting back to normal. I have been drying apples and put 5 apple pies in the freezer to enjoy when the apples aren't available anymore. Catching up with a few penpals. I have been very remiss in that area. It is a wonder they haven't abandon me. Has anyone heard from Alicia or Jami lately? Just wondering how they are doing. Very cold and rainy here today.
take care everyone

Texted with Alicia the other day.... Health wise things are looki better for them, but they still have a lot going on. I am sure she would appreciate some prayers for her unspoken needs.
