Hi everyone. Thanks for inviting me to join you. I am Marilyn, almost 72, married 53 years, mother of one son. Our Texan cowboy son got himself a wife from Wisconsin almost 24 years. Our oldest granddaughter is 18 and about to be a college student. Her Sister will be 15 in late August, she had a brain tumor, surgery for ten hours, followed by proton radiation, in April 2014. She is doing quite well, because God is good. We have almost always lived in the country and actually live very near our kids.
The sign on my back door says, "Bapa and Grannys Country Store" because they frequently come for eggs, candy, a sandwich, a soda etc. We have chickens, dogs, cats, ducks and horses. My son has a LOT of horses, dogs, a barn kitty named Squints and lots of cows, bulls and cute baby calves. There are also two new Colts this year. We are only five miles from the city limits, but over a mile from the farm to market road. We can hear highway traffic now because many people have moved on out further than us. I love to sew. I enjoy painting, crafting, cooking, watching my chickens and the cattle drive that passes my house about every three months when they change pastures. Life is enjoyable, sometimes difficult, but always filled with hope because God is in control. |

| Marilyn - I so enjoyed reading your post! I'm thrilled you joined our little group :) How beautiful to be married 53 years, and have your children close to you. I hope that I will have that pleasure as well. |
