Abi, those puppies are adorable!

I wanted to tell everyone that I'm having another baby, a boy. I was waiting until I had an ultrasound to say anything, but I had one yesterday. Due date is April 29-May 7. Somewhere in there. I'm using a midwife and having a home birth. It's a whole new experience, but so far it's been great! So I'll probably be a little MIA this spring. :)

Somehow I missed the picture of those cute puppies! Am I to understand correctly that your hubby didn't know you were bringing them home??? My hubby would have wrung my neck (not literally!!!) but he certainly would not have been happy!!! But then again, once he saw those cute faces, how could he resist?!?!

He knew I was thinking about getting one. When I brought them home, he was still asleep. I gave Sunny to my mom (who lives with us) and I took Leela upstairs and plopped her down on Patrick's chest. He cracked open an eye and smiled, picked her up and they both went back to sleep. When he woke up and brought her downstairs, he saw mom with Sunny and said, "You got a puppy too?". After a while of playing with the puppies, Patrick looked over at me and asked if I had anymore hiding somewhere.

How are you ladies today?

Everything is great here. Finally got some bugs worked out of a database I'm programming for work. Tomorrow is my Friday. Life is good.

Nice Abi! Have to love Fridays :) When do you go back to work though?

Today we are starting to feel a little bit better. My second daughter turns 7 on Saturday, so I am hoping we feel better by this weekend. Since Monday is a holiday, we are hoping/planning to go to the zoo. That was her request, other than squirrel hunting, which she did the end of last week.

Happy birthday to your daughter Shannon! Did she get anything when she went squirrel hunting?
It is so cold and windy here today. I need to go out but hate to have to bundle up to go.

I'll be back to work on Monday. Just taking a quick getaway to Shiner, TX.

7 is a fun age! One of our foster daughters was 7 when we had her. She was more into glitter than squirrel hunting though.

Denise, stay warm. And if you must go out, take hot cocoa.

Denise - sadly she did not, but she had a blast, nonetheless

Abi - my 7 year old is a girly girl tomboy - HAHAHA! She loves to dress up in pink, frills, and sparkles... but she also loves her pink camo!

Happy Monday to you too, Abi!! How am I doing? I'm cold. lol. I just realized my nose feels cold as a popsycle. And..I'm in the living room. Wind chill factors. Oh, well. Today, I am working on blocks for a valentine lap quilt. And..downsizing a bit. Pitching, stacking to give away and saving.

A valentine quilt sounds like fun!
I have been applying for some of the Sisterhood badges. I have many things that I have worked on. I thought I should just apply for the badges for the things I have accomplished. Hoping it will encourage me to do more.

Hey Abi! I'm good...how are you? I've been enjoying the first day of sun we've had in weeks! It's been either foggy or rainy...it's amazing what a little sunshine will do for a person!

Judith...you and I are on the same wave length, I think! I've been cleaning, organizing and downsizing my sewing room for the past couple of days. My husband outfitted on of the closets with new shelves and I've been re arranging stuff. And I have fabric all ready to go for a valentine quilt that I've been wanting to get to for the past couple of years. Hopefully I can get on that tomorrow. What kind of pattern are you doing?

I am well. Was better yesterday. Woke up and did an hour at the gym before work. Was on a high all day. Did the same today, but dragging butt. Hoping coffee is the remedy. This evening feels like a night to pick up dinner on the way home and just knit and watch Sunday's Downton Abbey.

I'm drinking my coffee this morning BEFORE I hit the treadmill #128521; I have never watched Downtown Abbey...but it keeps catching my attention. I should probably watch the previous season(s) first?
