Yay Shannon!! I was praying for your family on Monday when I was in the hospital with my youngest - he cut his thumb, and we had to go into get it glued.

Such good news to hear Shannon! Hoping with the coming of Spring you will get a bit of a break. You all could use it I think.

We won't have these here until the end of May but since my brother in law was going down to Florida for a golf tournament and the Strawberry Festival is going on, he brought these home. There are twice as many as you can see in this photo. I have put lots in the freezer and will make jam but of course we will leave some fresh for eating!

Shannon, I enjoy Downton Abbey. It is an English family of course, and all the goings on in their household. Which includes the family and the household staff. I just love British television. I have watched Call the Midwife but only an episode or two. I can't stand to watch a series out of order. I just started watching Mr. Selfridge which is base on the true story of an American who started a department store in London. Not the type of shopping Londoners had ever done before. I watched The Paradise, also British, first and it is doesn't have the risque features of Mr. Selfridge.

It's got to be Call the Midwife, Shannon. It's a great show. I've watched the whole thing.

Those strawberries are making my mouth water! :)

Those strawberries look wonderful! I hope there will be some available for Easter from somewhere! The kids and gkids and ggkids are coming for brunch! They all just go nuts over strawberries and ice cream or shortcake.

We should be getting some in our stores soon from the same area he got these. They ship them all over. They are usually about 2 dollars a quart in the stores. When ours get ripe here they charge 6 dollars a quart.

We have strawberries here, but it's different when they're picked somewhere in season. Do you agree? The taste is just different when you buy them out of season. I still do it (Barbara Kingfisher would not approve!) but they're not as good.

Erin at least you got her name. I can't remember the rest of the title of her book. I started reading it but got sidetracked.

Those berries are tucked in the freezer and some of it is down on the shelves of the cellar in pretty little jam jars.
