Sabrina, I used to use the roladex all the time in my office jobs. BC (before computers). They were great! Your DH had a great idea! I am using MaryJane's planner. I used the note pages in the back to put in the abbreviation for the State at the top. Then added all of the Wildflowers(with a designated "W") according to state. Then I will add penpals, my regular swappers, and stitchers, Probably anyone else I am in touch with regularly. Amazing how many girls are from TX.
I think I will love this when traveling. Not that I would drop in without their permission. I just like knowing if I'm close to someone I care about. What do you think of this idea?

Judith, I love your idea! Where did you find the planner? Can you get it at Mary Jane's online store?

Judith, that is a great way to use the lettered pages in the planner.
Debbie, you can get the planner at the online store but I'm not sure if they still have them. Someone on the main forum mentioned they got one of the last 2. But you never know, worth checking into.

I'll check into that, Denise! I'm going to be going through Coeur d' Alene, ID next week. I should talk my husband into stopping at Mary Jane's store there! I'm sure that even if they didn't have any planners there, they'd have some other treasure I might need :)

Debbie, yes, you can get the planner on the on-line store. I've only had mine for about 3 weeks. So, they may have printed more. It really didn't cost more than the ones I used to use for work...and, is much more fun!

Hi all! My cousin's nephew was born last night. He is in desperate need of prayers!!! He was born with a disproportionately small head, his bottom lip is so far in he cannot suck properly, he has a dimple in his back, and most urgently, he has no anus. He has been transferred to a different hospital, without momma, to have emergency surgery to fix this, though they have no idea as of yet how bad the defect is. Please please please pray for Blake and his family! I will update as I can!

Update: Surgery will not be until tomorrow or the next day, as they are trying to stabilize him. The momma is having issues as well... this is her second baby. After her first child, she hemorrhaged internally to the point of almost dying... she is showing signs of this again. Please continue to pray and I will update everyone as I know something!

We'll keep praying for all of you. It's hard when you're trying to get information and then they keep changing that information....very frustrating.

It's ok...I'm sure it's very hard for everyone. I can't even imagine how hard it is for his mom.

UPDATE 2/17 - Good morning all! God is good! He is answering prayers as we speak! Baby Blake will hopefully be able to have surgery today. As of right now, the plan is to give him a colostomy bag. He will then spend probably the next two weeks in the hospital. After three to six months, they will look at more surgeries to give him an anus. Hopefully waiting that long to do anything more permanently will mean less consecutive surgeries. He has a long road ahead of him! With that said, this came as no surprise to God! And it is He who is in control!

Jessie (the momma) is still struggling with her health as well. Her swelling is really bad, and her potassium is critically low. Due to Blake being in the NICU (they also have him under bili-lights), and her own health concerns, she is unable to see or be with him very often. They did allow her to hold him for a short while this morning.

Thank you for your continued prayers, and I will continue to update as I know anything!
