Oh Sherone! God must've been looking out in more ways then you know because I never even read your email! I must have somehow missed it. I'm so sorry you were having such a difficult time, but I'm also so happy you're still with us! :)

That is because she emailed it to me and asked i let you know... I responded asking her to reconsider... Though I thought I had forwarded the email to you Erin, along with my response! In any case, I am THRILLED you are staying with us, Sherone, and am continuing to pray for you!

Oh wow, yeah I had no idea that was going on. I'm so glad you asked her to reconsider! Seems like it all worked out.

Sherone your story inspired me to be more intentional about sending cards for Christmas and other times to our farmgirls! I'm terrible about writing.

Well ladies, I've had a crazy past month but I'm home and recovering (if you want the full story see my post on the porch, it is too long to copy!!). I hope to get busy on some badges and some other personal projects and whatever other rabbit trail I go down. I also hope to be more regular around here and participate in some of the group projects.

Erin, congratulations on the pregnancy!!! My last baby, Daniel, was a homebirth if there is anything I can do to help let me know!!

I am thinking I want to compile a "farmgirl address book" where I can compile addresses from swaps, here, and the pen pal list so that I can mail people cards for various things....for my personal use only of course not to share. Anyone done anything like this?? Wondering what the best way to go about it is and keep it up to date since I may not always know if something changes. I'll probably make a spot for notes, bdays, favorites, interests etc too that I can keep up with everyone and then if I see they are moving I could make a note of that.....just looking for ideas :).

Sabrina - I just keep my farm girl address book in my Wildflower Binder. I do everything in pencil, so I can change it when I know about it.

Thanks Sabrina! I'll let you know if I have any questions.

I just keep mine in my binder also. I printed it from an excel spreadsheet. I've been handwriting to add them though since I'm between computers right now... :(

I'm so stinking far behind in my swaps. I'm mailed four packages today. Now that I'm caught up I'm going to try to get ahead. So if I owe you a swap it's in the mail finally. I'm so sorry for getting behind. I'm also trying to get a binder together. One for regular Sisterhood and one for Wildflowers. That way I can keep up. I love binders anyway. I think I have a binder for everything. LOL...

Joyce that cake! How could you do that to me?! Now I want cake so bad... Haha. It looks great. Are you getting a badge for that or do you already have that one?

Sabrina I just read what you posted on the porch. I'm so sorry for your loss (losses). It's so good you got to see both of them before they passed. Your standby drama really brought me back. I worked for Delta for 8 years and flight privileges were half the reason to have the job then. When I was pregnant with my first, my husband and I went to Ireland (standby of course), and cut the trip short because I was so homesick. We couldn't get out of Shannon though. Everyone in Ireland was on Easter break and apparently they all were going to Florida. Everywhere out of Europe was oversold, and not just by 3 or 4, I mean -55 paying customer seats. The only flight that wasn't was out of Munich, so we bought tickets to Munich, spent the night and got out in the morning, barely. I could barely keep it together then, I can't imagine doing that with kids. How's your jetlag? Are you recovering ok?

RoDonna, I somehow skipped reading your post earlier. I don't think anyone minds too much if the swaps are a little late :) Don't stress about it!

RoDonna! I got my snowmen and I LOVE them! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I am so excited today. My dad is flying into San Antonio for a conference next week. He's driving down and spending tomorrow with us. My husband and I have lived all over (thanks Army), but my dad has never been able to get out to visit us. We've always visited him. This will be his first time seeing me in my grown up home!

Joyce your farm looks awesome! I'd love to see it again when it's green in summer time. It's beautiful in the snow too though. I wish we had snow on the ground. We just keep thawing and freezing, thawing and freezing. Everything just gets all muddy. Muddy dogs, muddy kids. Right now we're frozen but we're supposed to thaw Tuesday.

Erin,

It sounded worse than it was. Exhausting and frustrating but not horrible over all. I am still struggling to get back in the swing of things though.

Abi, I just saw your post that mentioned you or your husband being in the Army, are you still? We are stationed in Germany right now (for the second time) we have also been at Fort Lee, Fort Drum, and Hunter Army Airfield. We are a few months shy of 15 years. We have 1 year left here then hopefully wherever we move next is our last duty station! We are from TX so hoping to get stationed there somewhere and go ahead and get set up for retirement. ALSO, we met and got married in Victoria so we are familiar with your current area :).

Address book-so hubby suggested I get a vintage roladex for my farmgirl addresses! He said it would fit well! I LOVE the idea and have been looking on etsy for one. I found one that isn't really that brand but the same concept that I love but I've been waiting several days for the seller to tell me if she will ship to APO :(. I guess if she doesn't answer soon I'll pick another one. I like that I will be able to move things around, add cards in alphabetically and everyone will have a card where I can keep notes. I also think it fits wonderfully with the farmgirl "vibe." I could just order a new one, they haven't really changed but I like the "vintage" idea too. I'll let y'all know when I find it and get it set up!

I also would like to find a nice vintage recipe box. So I'll put that on my to find list. Wonder if any farmgirls would have either of these items if I post an ISO for them in the swap thread.....
