Carole, your space looks like the terrain of a very creative person. Makes me want to come right over!

Winnie, what a darling, soft and fuzzy little friend "Purr" is for a new baby! He looks so snuggly. Love the colors!

Happy Day!

I love your studio Carole. Beats my dining room table where I love to craft and sew because I can see everything going on in the house and have great light from the patio doors. Winnie, that little toy is so sweet. I bet it is a huge hit. We moved in a chicken coop yesterday from another farm, so my project today is to clean it out, disinfect it and get it ready for its new occupants. It is raining here otherwise I would be helping Keith build 2 miles of new fence. My crafting fun days are few and far between this time of year.

Hugs

Alicia - I think my mess beats yours! lol Sadly, I didn't get to clean yesterday. I had lots of stuff to do for the henhouse and taking care of some other MJF stuff etc...I'm hoping that tonight, after work, I'll be able to tackle the mess so that I can piece. Both my sewing desk are piled high with stuff!!!!

Amy, come on over! Would love to have you!

Julie, Thank you for compliment. I am thankful that I do have a place of my own to create. It is actually one of the larger bedrooms in the house. We recently renovated it and changed the layout so that I could use it more efficiently. I love the way the wooden floors turned out after we sanded them. They were painted brown!

Enjoy the day every one!

Carole, your sewing area doesn't look that messy. At least you can FIND your cutting table. I just got back from our big quilt show in Duluth, MN. 4 days of fun. Being president is great. I am gung ho about doing all kinds of things now. Just what to do first? lol

Bonnie, I think just being in Duluth is inspiring!! LOL!! We visited there a few years ago and I was totally smitten with it's natural beauty. Add on a layer of expert quilters and it must have been totally wonderful!! Yes, please share what transpired with so much talent all together.

Duluth is such a beautiful city. I love going down to the harbor to watch the barges come in. My sister lives 40 miles from there, so we head to northern Minneasota often. Please share more of your adventure Bonnie.

Can I just vent.... My patriotic brooch was finished...I thought I needed to stiffen the layers, so I sprayed it with starch to bake (like hairbows). Well, I was packing more of Isabelle's camp things and FORGOT! :( I burnt them.... :(

Oh Alicia! I am so sorry! That is always frustrating - when something you have worked on for so long and so hard, gets messed up :( Praying making a new one goes smoothly! I'm sure your partner will be understanding!

Hey Alicia, so sorry about your brooch. I am all too familiar with the agonies of Last Minute Boo Boos. You are clever and resilient, so I'm sure you probably are well into creating a new one! Congratulations on the subscription!

Happy Day!

Just an update on my choir's concert. It was smashing! Everyone sang their best and the audience included many family members in addition to residents. My dear brother took the train from NYC to help pump up our men's section (we only have 3 -- men are in short supply in nursing homes!) He also sat in on piano for our finale, a rockin' gospel version of "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands." Our soloist on two songs, Mr. Jim, sang like an angel. This sweet gentleman did not speak or leave his bed 8 years ago when we started the choir. His sweet, devoted wife started bringing him to choir practice, and now he talks to everyone, does all sorts of activities, and even does sing alongs for his fellow residents! Amen! One of my best friends, who works there, provided beautiful yellow rose corsages for us, and a lovely punch and cookie reception. And, we recruited (at least) 3 new members! It was exhausting, and absolutely wonderful. My friend took a picture of us, so as soon as I get it, I'll post it so you can see my beautiful group!

Happy Day!

Thanks Shannon and Julie! The picture just arrived, so here it is. It's a little dark, but you can get the idea. Mr. Jim is the gentleman in the front row on the left holding his choir book. My wonderful big brother is in the back row on the left. You can't miss him, just look for the red hair -- his nickname when we were kids was "The Burning Bush!"

Happy Day!
