Beautiful, Julie! I'm very excited and want to share that my family gave me a new sewing machine for my birthday! My old machine is very basic, pretty much straight and a few other stitches. They gave me a Husqvarna Viking machine that looks like it does everything, including thread the needle! My brother also gave me a hand crafted hand loom. I'd better get busy!

Happy Day!

Thank You all for the sweet words on my scarf. I have started a shawl that will be special gift, will post a picture when I am done. Also found a bit of time this week to sew a couple of table runners, have a few mug rugs cut out that need to be finished and the start of a project bag I want to work on, filled with yummy yarn it will make a perfect Christmas gift. MarilynI would love be to see your socks. Goodness 2 feet so snow and we haven't seen a flake yet, although that is supposed to change later in the week. Amy you are going to have so much fun sewing.

Glad to help Marilyn! Always a pleasure to see what you all are up to!

Well, I've been stitching away. I'm thinking I'd like to earn my hand embroidery badge. I'm hoping these will count as gazillion hours of hand stitching, cuz that's what that was! lol I love to hand embroider, especially when I have a lot on my mind. It's so meditative, and calming ... It gives my brain a break while I'm being productive. The pattern is from Crab Apple Hill Designs and is called Victory Garden. I used plain dish towels.

Testing out this new app on my phone! Nice to be able to combine pictures.

WOW! Marilyn. That's a lot of granny squares. Great afghan.

Here's a picture of my grandsons in their bathrobes I made them this month. Note the Ninja pose. LOL!

I also made a robe for my older grandson and will give it to him on his birthday in December.

Linda, perfect models for those Ninja robes! lol Adorable, although it is not an adjective one would use to describe Ninja attire! Fierce Robes Linda! lol

The app I'm using to create a grid is called PhotoGrid. It allows you to create grids to place different photos. I combine the pictures, send it to my lap top and post on the forum. I cannot post on the forum from the iphone.

I am loving all the creations posted on here! I am hoping to pull out my sewing machine today.. Though it has not happened yet and I need to go feed Emi again.

Marilyn - gorgeous job! It is such a warm and cozy looking afghan... Both in the heaviness and colors!

Carole - loving the towels! I am not done any embroidery in awhile! I find it so calming, but it takes me quite awhile... I am not very fast at it at all!

Linda - love the robes! Which one is Will's penpal? How is Michelle feeling?

I'm loving all the pretties you all are making! I would love to try to embroider again. It's been so long, I have forgotten how to do the stitches. Need to go to u tube and watch. Those robes are as cute as the boys wearing them. Our grandkids are all grown up, miss that age. We have great grands, with the oldest being 8. The afghan is so pretty and colorful - love granny squares.
I have got to get busy and make my girls PJ bottoms. They have long legs and store bought don't fit them.

Beautiful embroidered towels Carole, I love Crabapple Hill patterns. Linda, I bet those robes get used for a lot more than bedtime, ninja's are just the beginning. My daughter and I went to the city today to a very large craft show, we didn't buy much (kept saying we could make that ourselves). So with a stop at Joanne's and hobby lobby we came home with more projects we need to find time for. We even found projects for our husbands, they are going to be so excited when we show them the pictures (NOT) #128512;

Linda... thanks :) I just didn't know which one was Richard. Will wants to know if you have a picture without his brother's hand in his face :) i told him they are twins so they look the same, lol.

Marilyn that is a beautiful granny square afghan, So big and so much work

Linda your grandson's robes are really nice and look like they are very warm, with the hood and all.

Carole I love your embroidery, it is so nice and would be pretty in anyone's kitchen.

Wonderful projects.

hugs

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Means a lot to me.

I get into various moods, machine piece, hand work, machine quilt ... it all depends what strikes me and/or what "needs" to get done. So, last night, I'm in a machine quilting mood, attempting to get this quilt done for a customer. Would love to show you the whole quilt, but it's a mystery quilt and I wouldn't want you all to be de-mystified in case you plan and/are doing it.

Love love love the colours! (making one in my spare time for my mum) The quilt has a lot of negative space and I felt this pattern worked great, I think it really brings out the quilt.

I was so hoping to give it to my customer this weekend but ..... would you believe I ran out of thread? Gosh darn, I'm so annoyed. I have 1/4 still left to machine quilt (it's a queen size).

Anyway, just placed my thread order! Arg....!
