Marilyn, What a wonderful project. I used to crochet blankets for the newborns at our local hospital but haven't done it in years.

Amy, Beautiful gifts and love Lily's costume!

Connie, Such sweet things you are doing for Lily June!

Hello, all. Just yesterday I joined this henhouse, and I think I know most of you here! My projects this month are bathrobes for my three grandsons for their birthdays. The twins birthday is Nov 15, and Greg's birthday is Dec. 19. I also have the Minion panel quilt kits for the twins for Christmas - hopefully THIS Christmas. But I need to finish them and get them to the longarm quilter ASAP. LOL! The quilts shouldn't take too long to make - they have a large panel in the middle with the borders. Cross your fingers for me. LOL!

I am finishing a granny square bed spread, may finish a hairpin lace afghan, one more rug to make on the loom before I cut them all off, working on a harvest scene crewel, finished husbands socks so making some for me, spinning rabbit fur but having lots of problems with it. Hopefully will get most of these finished before Christmas. Did finish the crazy quilt I was making for my daughter so that is a relief, one present ready.

It seems all of us are extremely busy this time of year but homemade gifts are the best.

Smile a lot everyone will wonder what you are up to.

Hearing about everyone's homemade gifts is sure helping me stay on track. This is the first year I'm determined to make all my gifts. I'm even knitting cat toys and a dog sweater! :)

Happy Day!

Ok I have a question, has any body heard of making floor mats by using plastic bags like walmart bags. My aunt is going on a mission trip to Haiti and the women that are going are showing people how to make them. So people won't be sleeping on the ground. She said their cushy and if they get dirty you hose them off. I think this is a awesome idea. But I never heard of them.

Marlee I may have a pattern. I'll take a look and get back to you. When is she going?
I know I have a pattern for a purse made of plastic bags but I have a couple of pattern books for rag rug type items and I think there is a plastic bag one if memory serves...

Does your aunt need bags? I have two large bags of plastic bags that I was going to take to Walmart. I'd be glad to send them

I'm so inspired reading about everyone's projects! Marilyn, I love granny squares, could you maybe post a picture, I'd love to see it! Marlee, I'll be interested to hear about you aunt's trip. I have a dear friend from Haiti and have learned quite a bit about the plight of the people there. What an awesome ministry! If she needs bags, I'd be happy to send some, too.

Happy Day!

Wonderful so read everyone buzzing with creative energy!

I haven't been quilting much as of late. Busy working on two secret projects! I look at my sewing machine every evening, does that count? lol

Enjoy the day! Cheers!

Just finished this up last night. Ready to wrap for Christmas. Marilyn, I have been working on a granny throw as well, using up all those little odds and ends of yarn I hate throwing away. I just keep throwing the squares in a tote. One of these days I better start piecing it together, who knows it might be king size by now.

That is beautiful Julie!

today I will be working on projects for some swaps. My list includes finishing up some plastic canvas coasters, make a beaded bookmark, and apron. The kids and I are also going to finish up this past week's geography crafts. Then tonight I need to pack the Operation Christmas Child boxes.
