Carol and Linda

That would be great to share recipes.

Sherry, you have a great weekend too. We are having rain and wind but not sure about tomorrow. I am supposed to go help clean up our town park and help make new park benches and stuff. We shall see.

Hello everyone,

Jamming to some music while attempting to organize things here and there, as well as doing a bit of catch up on e-mails.

Darlene, sounds like a busy weekend ahead! The weather doesn't look good for us either, with snow in the forecast on Sunday! A tad early for the white stuff if you ask me!

Sherry, what are you up to this weekend? Anyone else want to chine in?

Myself, I am doing absolutely nothing except work on Saturday and attempt to clean/tidy up my sewing studio! What a mess! No wonder I can't seem to find anything or the motivation to work on a project. Look at this mess! A dumping station is what my cutting table has become.

And that's the good side of the room! lol Yea, my Sunday will be spent tidying things up. For the past few weekends we've been so busy, no time to rest.

Speaking of rest, I'm off to catch zzzzz. I'm beat!

Take care everyone! Cheers!

Today was a busy day for me. After working at the PO this morning, I went across the street to the park and helped trim the trees and bushes and they pulled out the old light poles and there was this tall telephone pole that had to go and the Pastor from Loleta church used his chain saw to cut it down, it was like cutting down a tall tree boy when it fell it bounced and made a loud noise. so cool. The park really looks nice.
I was really tired but promised a friend of mine I would go down to the refuge and see her. I was there until almost 6:30. I am so tired, but what a beautiful day it was and the weather was nice. I found this picture of the Avenue of the Giants on line. I love it there.

So Darlene, you were a bit shaken up! Glad you are okay. Hard to believe, but I too live in an earthquake zone. It's not as active as yours and that's fine for me.

Sherry, How did your junking go?

Linda, are you feeling better?

Well, still haven't started cleaning my sewing room. I thought I would try to incorporate my new "girls" (read chickens) with my old "girls". Sat outside monitoring the situation. At first it was 4 young girls to 1 older girls - Mabel. Well Mabel told those young girls where to go. I had to reprimand Mabel a couple of times. You would think those four girls would tell Mabel where to go, you know gang up! Naw, they were just a bunch of "chickens"! lol

Then I tried Charles, who is the hen honcho of the mature coop and she did fine. Those young girls knew who they were dealing with and no picking, just some chest flaring from Charles. When both Mabel & Charles were in the fenced in area, those young girls just stayed in the corner. Mabel is the problem. I don't like mean girls! To be fair, we did lose 2 older girls this week, Popcorn on Tues and Peep this morning. Mabel is probably upset to have lost her buddies. Sigh!

Well, I should start working on cleaning that room. I have a couple of projects I would like to tackle.

Enjoy your day everyone!

Sounds like your chickens do know who is boss, :D
The way I see it with the earthquakes, I haven't gotten many alerts about earthquakes up there and that is good, most of it of course is here and Alaska is constant and Oklahoma has a lot of them.

Did you get your projects tackled? I need to do the same I just don't do it. I am working on it slowly though.

Well have a good evening

Good morning to all....
Haven't been on much for a few days. Hope all are doing well.
Ruth, I had to graduate from cane to walker a year or so ago....hang in there!! I keep telling myself that I at least need to 'glamorize' it someday :)
Hoping you are on the mend soon!!
Carole, enjoy your trip! Being a Ca. desert girl I miss that type of weather so enjoy while you can!! I think all of us might get some tough winters this year!
Love the fabric your site offers. Maybe this winter I might order some and try a mini quilt :)

Darlene, stay safe. Darn earthquakes!! I move to Ks and we keep feeling the ones Ok has been having!!! Bad enough there's tornado season here!!! Don't want earthquakes too!! Lol!!

Anyone watching the series? I have 4 Starbucks coffees and a lovely soup from a lovely soup and sandwich place here......riding on the outcome.
I may be in Ks but this Ca girl is rooting for San Francisco!!! Go Giants!

Sherry..hope your weekend is going well!

Leaves here are falling fairly quickly now! Some pretty sites of fall :)

Hugs,
Linda

Good luck Linda on your Giants games, we have a lot of fans for the Giants at the school I work at too.

Well it doesn't sound like you are having fun with the vibrations from the Oklahoma earthquakes. keep safe from them and your Tornadoes. I guess there were two water spouts spotted in the ocean last night, We had wild winds and hard rains last night, supposed to continue night.

ugh!

Ruth you take care dear and enjoy the day.

Carole hope you are having a good time.

Sherry and everyone have a good day!

Love you all.

Hi Darlene!! I'm still here down in Florida. It seems like the big forum is a bit more quiet as well but then again, it is a busy time of the year in many ways.
