Just wanted to share a great thing for me today.ha
A praise and thanks to God today, I had to big financial things get resolved today and I am so thankful to God it is all going to work out. I on a Section 8 and was worried I had made too much money last year which believe me wasn't that much but I thought maybe they would kick me off and today I got a letter and they dropped my portion of the rent a dollar from last year and that was so awesome to hear and then there was a loan and today I was able to resolve that and make payments to it and not cost me an arm and a leg! Thanks be to God, and thanks for all your prayers too.
It is an awesome day here as well, we are having our typical Summer day in Spring. It starts out foggy /ut it turned sunny and has been beautiful!

Yesterday I was helping at the Voting Poll. That is a real eye opener but it was worth all the work and brain stress, I am glad I got to do it although I may not do it again. It was good I did. A lot of work, a very long day but great women.

Anyway just wanted to share my happiness.

hugs and love

Hi all,
Doing babysitting duty for the next 8 days. This 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 yr old have so much energy. Wish I could bottle it and use it myself. They definitely keep me hopping and today is only halfway through day 1. LOL I do love having time to spend with them though. They do both take naps so that is good for me to get recharged as well. Or at least get the dishes done and have a cup of tea.
Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I expect it is quieter here due to everyone being a little busier this time of year.

Today was our youngest Great Granddaugter's 1st Birthday. This is a photo of her Nana (our youngest daughter) and the birthday girl Addie Beth.
We had a great day celebrating with family and friends!
Guess you will have to "click" the top line to see the photo. Denise is trying to show her how to put up one finger. But she did say "1"! :)

Ruth...cute picture you posted on your blog.

Girls...I just want to say that I am sorry I don't really make it on this porch very often.
The reason being is that I pretty much lead The Porch on MJF Forum and I just really can't do
both. It is too time consuming with everything else I do on the computer in a days time. I
feel like I am on so much...it has become a full time job. LOL

Anyway, just wanted you to know why I am not more involved on here. I do hop on and read once
in awhile.

Hugs and Blessings to You All!!!

What a sweetie Ruth! Debbie I too hope your foot is healing. Denise have fun with those little ones and Darlene so glad things are working out for you. I am getting ready for company here. My baby sister and her husband are on their way back to California and will be stopping for a few days to visit. Will be great to see them. Other than that I am enjoying my bike, going for a ride at least once a day. Love the early morning rides. I have spent a lot of time in the garden lately, the weeds were getting ahead of me and I needed to get the strawberries weeded before they start really producing. Have a great evening everyone.

Hugs
Julie

Morning, Hope everyone is enjoying their day. I did some flower gardening this morning. Until our old dog got out of the yard and I had to chase her down the street. What a site that was. So had to have my neighbor call my husband to come home and get her back in the yard. Boy!! My family are always fussing at me because I don't keep my cell phone on me at all times, now I learned my lessen.
Julie, I can smell those strawberries now. Have a great visit with your sister. Denise hope your having fun with your granddaughters.
Mama Hen are you off that foot and resting? Take care and enjoy your day everyone. Thinking of all of you.

Hi Chickies, Today was a very busy day....first we went to Kennesaw,GA to get two baby love birds, from our Optician at Costco. Who raises them :)! Then Dave had to get a cortisone shot in his knee. Came home, got the love birds settled in, then off to the hospital to visit a friend that had emergency surgery at 4 am. He had a hole in his small intestine. His name is Gary, prayers appreciated.
Julie, so happy you are enjoying your bike, wish I could ride with you! and those strawberries sound so yummy!
Sherry, glad your hubby came home to rescue your doggy. I can just see you running down the road now. been there, done that :)
Denise - love on those sweet grand daughters .. they grown up way too fast.
Debbie, how did PT go, is your foot getting any better?
Hope you all have a great rest of the night!
Hugs, Ruth

Ruth~ praying for your friend.
Sherry~ glad your neighbor was the neighborly sort and helped you out.
Debbie~ How are you feeling? Hoping you heal quickly. Still sending prayers for you.
Julie~ I hope you have a wonderful visit with your sister!
Darlene~ Hope all is well with you.

I am enjoying my time with the little ones. They are on a pretty good schedule and they are used to it so there really haven't been any problems. JT is driving out today to spend the last few days with us. The oldest is looking forward to seeing her Papa. The youngest is a little too young to remember him. But I am sure they will make fast friends.
Meeting with a face book friend tomorrow. We have never met but she lives about 25 minutes from here so we thought we could have a quick visit while I am here. She is a sweetie and I can't wait to meet her.
I am so excited as I am going to be getting one of Tammy's beautiful books. I can't wait. I looked at her work on Pinterest and they are gorgeous books. I think I may keep her busy.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning. I'm so aggravated today. We had to switch to another cable company yesterday because it had gotten too high for us to pay each month. But now my laptop is sooo slow and keeps going off line that it is driving me crazy

Thanks for the prayers for Gary! Dave and I stopped by to see him today, and all tubes are out and he may get to go home tomorrow. Praise the Lord! The doctor told him, if he had not come in to the hospital when he did, they might be making other arrangements. As in funeral!! Much to be thankful for!
We have been having a ton of rain, so much so that we can't get out in the yard to do anything :(! Not complaining, because we could be in a drought. We did get our erosion problem taken care of, and I might add, just in time :)!
Hope you all have a blessed night! Enjoy your family and friends as life is very precious.
Hugs to all

Yea Joan I hear ya; cable and internet prices are sky high; my husband gets angry cause the prices keep going up and up. One thing we have learned though, when the prices go up call the company and threaten to change they will offer you another supposed bargain for a while. Yesterday I finally finished a bedroom that I made into a nursery for baby Nina! It has everything she/I need, I even have the lamp I used for her mothers nursery some 31 years ago!
