To all my scattered chickies: As some of you may know I got home sunday from a roadtrip with my husband (in which we put 4328 miles on the rental car) to Texas and Florida to visit 2 of our children. This was our first time ever in Texas and our daughter Brigid filled our days with the best fun and food.

While we were at one of the most famous "gotta try" restaurants I purchased a little something to be a "giveaway"

To enter just post here the most fun thing you have done so far this summer, that it, from all posts I will pick a random winner next Wednesday at noon est.

My greatest fun thing that I have done this summer is having my lovely niece and God Daughter Andrea spend two weeks with us. She will be 18 in December, she is such a joy and Blessing to me. She is still here and we are having so many girl days together, so much fun shopping (for school clothes), helping her pick out vintage circus for her homecoming decorations, to taking her to the top of Pikes Peak. I raised a boy so having a teenager in our home again and a girl is amazing! I will remember this visit for the rest of my life we are making wonderful new memories together. And, she loves Colorado so much and her Uncle Tom and Aunt Debbie that she will be applying to the Colorado School of Mines in Golden CO an 1 1/2 hours from our house for her Bachelor Degree, I could not be more proud. She wants to be a Neuro Surgeon.
So, that is the most greatest and fun thing I have done.

Thank you Sue for such a wonderful give away. Good Luck to all my chicks.

Luv Ya,
Mama Hen

Gotta be going to see my "PAULIE!!" Paul McCartney Concert, May 28th, An early 40th Anniversary gift from My Father-in-law. Paul sang Junior's Farm, just for us! he said," since he was in the south!" It was a great concert!! All the great music from the 1960's, no gimmicks, no dancers! just Paul! It was a dream me and my hubby have shared since we met in 1972. My Father-in-law said anyone who stayed married 40 years deserved floor tickets! It was an experience we will never forget!and one more mark off the "Ole Bucket list!" LOL!

Sadly,:( working and having a farm does not lend to vacations ...
But, today we will be heading out to the world's longest yard sale! Hope I score lots of good stuff!

Actually Teri thats my kind of vacation! I would so love to work on a farm, on my bucket list really may sound silly! Yard sales oh my, love em. Whenever we travel we look for garage sales, estate sales and thrift stores. This time we even rented a big car in case we found something we loved and could bring back, found nothing big but I did find a longaberger picnic basket for 10 bucks! So dont feel bad you are doing things that some really want to do!

Thank you Connie for remembering my Son, you are so sweet.
Ruth meeting you, your Hubby and Big Sister has been one of the highlights of my summer as well, you are a very special farmgirl sister to me.
Oh Teri, I will take that vacation anytime, I have been wanting to go to the World's longest yard sale for years, sadly can not find anyone who wants to go, I believe I would wear them out. LOL! Have fun and I hope you get lots of wonderful treasures.
Sue, maybe we should plan a trip together next year, what do you think?

Mama Hen

I don't get to travel as much as I use to with my Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue...I can't sit for long
periods of time. If I travel anywhere I much prefer by car because that way I can stop often and get out
and stretch my muscles and walk around for a bit. ~ So, my most fun trip this Summer was my trip to Seattle last weekend
to see My two Grand-daughters. Madeline turned 5 that weekend, Naomi is now 2 and talking up a storm.
My youngest son and little family took me...so, I had all three of my Grandbabies for the entire wknd. Little Elijah is such a great baby for just being 9 weeks old.
I had lots of loves and hugs and there just isn't anything better Vacation than that. Seattle is always fun and we
went down to Pikes Place Market before we headed back home. It was wall to wall people but we still managed
to have fun and spend some money!!! Have any of you ever tried Chocolate Pasta before??? Yummo! My favorite was the Sweetpotato pasta.

Hugs,
Peggy

Okay Sue do you know that the SPG's have been invited to Teri's Home September 2014, she lives on a Sheep Ranch in Kentucky. Would that be a possibility for you? Right now there are 4 of us who are going to try our hardest to meet up, Tammy, Connie, Denise and myself.
Let's hope it will all work out for all of us.

Oh Sherry do you know how much fun and trouble we could all get into if Teri could get us all together at her house? Her hubby will never forget our visit. I sure hope all who want to go will be able to make it.
I am hoping that Teri will help Connie and I come up with a very special chore for our Sweet Tammy! Now Tammy here is one that will make you gag, my sisters favorite thing to do growing up on a farm was walking through warm cow dung. Nasty, nasty I know but she use to tell me not to knock it until I tried it. That will never happen, not on purpose anyway:-)
