Hey Ladies,

Thought I would check in and give you all an update. Wyatt is growing like a weed and has put on 4 inches and nearly 6 pounds in just over three months! We are working with an Occupational Therapist once a week and she sees really good progress with him. His movement is really good with only a little tightness in his right arm. His language skills seem to be doing well so far as he babbles up a storm in nearly complete sentences. Since his stroke was on the left side and that is the language side, we'll have to keep an eye on that development too.

I'm starting to venture out more and get back into life. Making it to the coffee shop once a week for writing time, went to the lavender association meeting, visited with Rain and walked now that we have a stroller to the cousins for eggs. I'm managing a few hours of telework.

We have a routine so I get a few hours in the evening when he's in bed to work on stuff for me and hubby. He's still up several times a night. Sometimes I think he just has not discovered how to self sooth and isn't really hungry.

Here's to a new year for all of us and best wishes,

Laurie

Thanks Laurie! SOOOO GOOD to hear your update and how things are going! And, I'm also SOOOO glad Rain is there and you two can get together occasionally.

Hang in there my friend! I certainly know what it's like as I (we) went through waters and fire with Jeremy, born with Down Syndrome in 1973 when things were WAAAAAYYYYYY different than they are now for challenged kiddos.

We'd love to see some pictures of your young man . . and you with him . . . and dad with him . . PURTY PLEEZE!!!

Wow, I didn't know Wyatt had a stroke. I must have missed that somehow. I'm really sorry not to have kept up with all of it. I'm so glad to hear he's healing and growing.

I agree with CJ. I'd love to see a picture of you and your guys.

Love,
Kathy
