Well, I've done all my stitches. Now I just need to put them in book form. I did them on 14 ct aida and now I want to applique each stitch section onto some pretty floral (burgundy!!) fabric using the blanket stitch.

The first several stitches I sewed across one end of a tea towel that I will use this winter over my sourdough starter.

Today was my day to finish up unfinished projects. So my stitch book is now complete. I didn't do the blanket stitch; I just used the machine. But I sewed the stitch patches onto fabric; zigzagged around the edges, leaving about an inch for the binding. Then I put batting in between on the front and back pages and zigzagged. For the binding I just evened up all the left edges and zigzagged through all layers. Kind of a rustic look, with the frayed edges. For the title, I embroidered "Stitches" on another piece of aida and sewed it to the front. I did take pictures, but I haven't gotten around to playing with Photobucket yet. I will, I promise!!

This little book is wonderful Loyce! I can tell you had fun with the stitches and I really like seeing your green grass as ours is a little brown. I too have troubles with putting pictures on here...as I notice so do a lot of other people. I am not "in like" with photobucket and the feeling is mutual :-) Thanks for sharing!

Loyce, I am so proud of you. I just now saw your posting and your book. Don't ask me how i missed it! Great job, and now you have something to pass down for generations. I am heading downstairs to look for the instructions for Donna on how to finish it. I filed everything away cause I thought everyone that was doing it was done! Good job, and thanks for the pictures. I wish I could figure out how to download! I think that will be my new years resolution, get more computer savvy! I just got a new smart phone I am trying to figure out today! Take care, and thanks again for posting. I wish you lived next door to me, I could learn a lot from you.
