Good Morning Fellow FGSW:
CJ and I have been discussing another swap idea. You know how some of us are going to make all our Christmas ornaments this year for our "Stitching and Crafting" #8 "Homespun Christmas" - WELLLLLL how about we make some extra ornaments and trade them with each other? You don't even need to be working on earning that merit badge - just include your name in our swap and you're in.

Here's what we'll do:
Let's say 8 of us agree to do this. You would only need to make 7 extra ornaments (exclude yourself) and on Dec. 1st we mail our ornaments to those 7 fellow farm girls.

That gives us four (4) full months to work on it and wouldn't it be fun to see our sisters creations on our Christmas tree. You could even sign and date it on the back.

Give us your feedback and ideas on this and we'll see what happens.

Love-

I'm so glad you chicks are excited about the Christmas swap. Me too. When I came up with this idea I figured we had plenty of time to make things. I don't have a clue either what to make. O well - it will be fun.

Plenty of time, yes, but I'll probably put it off thinking I have plenty of time and there are more pressing things that need my attention now. lol

Tammy,
We can't do everything . . . so, don't worry about it.

If you find later than you can just let Rusty know.
TAKE CARE!!

Hi Rusty count me in for the ornament, I think I can get 7 finished and in the mail by Dec. 1st. Thank you for such a wonderful idea.
My husband and I love your beautiful city, we visited there in December 2007, I did not want to come home.
Hugs,
Debbie

Welcome Laura:
You are most certainly able to participate in our Christmas swap. It's nothing special - just for fun. Maybe we can get together - my husband and I are hoping to get up to Albuquerque the last week in Sept. for a little R&R. I'll let you know exactly when and maybe we can meet.

Love-

Rusty, that would be so much fun! Las Cruces isn't that far away. I will be heading your way in November for a cheerleading competition at the local high school with my youngest daughter.

And thanks for including me in the swap. I love doing stuff like that!

Laura - Sounds like fun. We will probably stay at Kirkland Air Force Base (my husband is retired Navy) so we get a really good rate. I'll keep you posted on the dates.

Laura and Rusty,
You do know that any FGSW HENHOUSE "Chick" gathering has to be photographed and posted.
So, if you girls meet up, get a photo and post it here!!!!!

We plan to meet up with Amy (pumpkinvine) in September when we (Robin and me) go to Santa Barbara for the AVON Walk for Breast Cancer event.

Pictures, pictures, pictures!
:) :) :)

Rusty - My husband is active duty and is stationed here at Kirtland. Actually, this is our second time to be here in Albuquerque. Maybe we could meet on base for lunch or something.

Hi Brenda:
We not only share the same birthday but also the same interests. Glad you decided to join our Christmas Swap. It should be a lot of fun receiving different ornaments from our fellow chicks. Have a great Birthday.

Hi CJ:
At this point in time there are a total of NINE (9) of us signed up for the Christmas swap. That means we need to make 8 ornaments to ship on Dec. 1st.

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day.
