Yup, yessiree . . we are about to embark on yet another adventure. I will be leaving my house this coming Saturday, May 25th. Going to Glendale, Arizona to gather up my daughter/best friend/glamping partner, Robin and strike out on our 3-Week Glamping Road Trip!!
Have started packing, organizing, gathering, reorganizing, doing laundry etc. Just reorganized these three wicker picnic baskets.
The one on the left is lined and has pockets in the lining. It has our china dishes (plates, cups, saucers, etc), wineglasses, coffee mugs, kitchen linens/towels, napkins and placements, etc.
The middle one has silverware, cooking utensils, spices/herbs for cooking, water carafe, water goblets, miscellaneous dishes. This basket is the one that my mom packed up for our family picnics when I was a kid . . . a ll-oo-nn-g time ago. I'm just delighted to be the owner of this family heirloom!
The one on the right is for non-perishable groceries items and is partially stocked.
Sooooo, we're getting ready. Check back tomorrow to see what the next preparation is!

only 10 more days... but whose counting... You'll love hanging out with the gang at the river....
I am so 'mentally' there already!
Got most everything packed into my trailer and the rest boxed up in the man cave waiting to be put into the jeep... all I have to do now is shop for the Saturday nite food for our group dinner...

Okay, now for the train of traincases! Getting them reorganized and packed. The one with flowers on it is my "Farmgirl Sister" case with craft projects including embroidery, papercrafting, etc. The one with red/aqua "glamping" fabric is my "Glamper Girl" case with my undies, vitamins, socks, miscellaneous items. The cream case is my "Lace Case" with toiletries. The plain blue/gray case is for our glamping tools and supplies such as pliers, scissors, wire cutters (for the zip ties), extra nylon rope, shades for mini-light strand, jar candles, zip ties, etc., etc.
They're about ready!

Oh yeah, the old western work boots with the peony that is for decoration. I found the boots at a thrift for $1 just like that, with the twine in the lower shoelace eyes. They remind me of our farm and the hard work and worn out boots that were part of the scene.
In the back, patiently waiting is "Mr. Cock-a-Doodle" blue, a gift from Debbie Fischer. He usually goes glamping with us too!

I can't wait to meet up with you at Kathy's! So, So Excited!!!!
I think tomorrow I will hit the wine store for a couple of bottles of Long Island Wine for us to enjoy.
I started to put my glamping pretties in my big suitcase which I will check on the airplane. I am also ready to put the finishing touches on my "glamping" suitcase that I have been having fun decorating.

Okay, picked up our mini van rental this afternoon. It is a 2013 Dodge Caravan Stow & Go. . . . with British Columbia plates on it . . . and the odometer measures kilometers traveled, not miles . . . and the speedometer big numbers measure kilometers per hour, not miles per hour. Gonna be an adventure!! :D
