Yup, yessiree . . we are about to embark on yet another adventure. I will be leaving my house this coming Saturday, May 25th. Going to Glendale, Arizona to gather up my daughter/best friend/glamping partner, Robin and strike out on our 3-Week Glamping Road Trip!!

Have started packing, organizing, gathering, reorganizing, doing laundry etc. Just reorganized these three wicker picnic baskets.
The one on the left is lined and has pockets in the lining. It has our china dishes (plates, cups, saucers, etc), wineglasses, coffee mugs, kitchen linens/towels, napkins and placements, etc.

The middle one has silverware, cooking utensils, spices/herbs for cooking, water carafe, water goblets, miscellaneous dishes. This basket is the one that my mom packed up for our family picnics when I was a kid . . . a ll-oo-nn-g time ago. I'm just delighted to be the owner of this family heirloom!

The one on the right is for non-perishable groceries items and is partially stocked.

Sooooo, we're getting ready. Check back tomorrow to see what the next preparation is!

ceejay..I sat this morning and relived your wonderful adventures! still envious..and still some challenges before me but a few questions...
does your canopy take two ppl to set up?
what coleman is your tent? i'm seriously looking at the Evanston 8 whether or not the elite is color and about $30.00 for the upgrades....

as I mentioned before, my own Robyn and I were in Girl Scouts together and had many many wonderful-wet and otherwise!-camping experiences-I just don't think she has my farmgirl spirit or would enjoy this life....i'm not afraid to go alone; i am afraid that I would need help setting up!

march in Arizona? maybe I could fly out like laurie did????

Thanks to all of you who have "followed" along with us on the journey. It was a road trip of a lifetime. Robin and I plan on more, many more, but they'll be different. Different places, different people (hopefully we'll see our "old" friends along the way), different challenges, unexpected surprises, etc. Everything we've done, so far, has had its own special "flavor and face" . . . each one a memory all its own.

We've tried to share comments, stories and photos that will just sort of "invite" you into our glampsite and enjoy the fun along with us, even it is has to be "virtual". Thanks for going along for the ride.

We DO plan more glamping adventures but the details have yet to be worked out . . . so just keep tuned and don't be surprised at anything we decide to do!
Happy GLAMPING to any and all of you, no matter how you do it!
HUGS!
CJ . . . and Robin too!

Kathy,
Wish I could come back and visit! It's just soooooooooo far, dang it!
Your garden (both sides of it) are beautiful and I'm jealous! I loved seeing it then and I'll bet it's even more gorgeous!
Hopefully we'll see each other again before too many sunsets!
LOVE YOU . . .ALL OF YOU!

OH, how wonderful to "see" Pam, Rali, and Kim's faces again. (And of course you and Robin), I just mean since I haven't seen the other gals since we glamped at Robins! It was such a great opportunity to meet the other Arizona farmgirls! I am blessed indeed to have been fortunate enough to take not ONE but TWO glamping adventures with my wonderful farmgirl sisters this year!
So glad the windshield was an easy fix too! Ugh, I hate when that happens. Have had it happen here at home on the Expressway more than I care to remember!
Thanks again for sharing the photo journey with us CJ.
Big hugs to you my friend!

Thanks again

A few bits 'n' pieces as we headed home

Somewhere in Idaho a truck passed us going the opposite direction, threw a rock and dinged the windshield! Drat! Fortunately it was chip damage that could be repaired. Found a great shop in Brigham City, Utah, and a very helpful tech to help us out! Great service, no waiting, $20. Grateful it was small and could be repaired.

Setting up on our last night out, we decided we needed to take a "Coleman" photo. Maybe we could propose to Coleman some sponsorship?

Before I headed back home in Colorado we had some special farmgirls over for supper. These gals are part of the Farmgirl Connection, two of them in our Farmgirls Southwest Henhouse, live in the Phoenix area and came over for a lovely supper and farmgirl visit!

Pam . . aka "coaloha", Robin . . aka "birdie71", yours truly, Rali . . aka "Rali" and Kim, aka "Kammi.
What a wonderful farmgirl evening we had!

You're "it", Diana . . . your turn to come visit here.

Maybe you should fly to Robin's next March for our 2nd Backyard Glamper Party and Sleepover. . . . hint! hint!

What make is that very antique and flat vehicle? Sorry, I forgot what you told me!

Being at Diana's is an "oasis"! It's so beautiful and quiet and having our own room with cozy quilts and a REAL bathroom within 10 feet is a nice treat. We love camping, don't get me wrong! But it IS nice to have the "oasis".
And, Diana is a great cook! We are also able to kick back, relax and do whatever! What a blessing!

When Diana saw our van for the first time with the canopy strapped on the roof rack she, at first, thought we had brought our golf clubs!

Cy helped us repair the connector for our electric cooler box, solve a few other minor problems and let us park the van in the carport where he usually parks his truck.

Cy was busy outside most of the time with all kinds of "get grubby" projects . . . so we missed getting his pic this trip.
THANKS FOR EVERYTHING DIANA and CY!

But wait, our last visit was with farmgirl, Diana . . aka "gramadinah", in Orofino, Idaho.
She and Cy have a beautiful home overlooking Dworshak reservoir and it's surrounded by woods, etc.
A very peaceful, quiet place to visit. Robin and I each had our own room with Diana's beautiful quilts on the bed . . she is a quilting queen and her house is FULL of her quilts. She has a big house too!

This is sitting in their yard. Diana told me it was a 34 something but I forgot what she said. Poor thing!

This is "Sadie", Diana's labra-doodle. Sadie is so funny and fun! We loved her

Diana with her Sadie on the porch

Went into Orofino one day, went thrifting and stopped at Augie's Deli for coffee and then went back for lunch! Great day with Diana!

CJ- we all know one can never have too many vintage suitcases! LOL
Besdies, they have so many uses, you can't possibly run out of things to store in them, use them as end tables etc etc.
I agree with the rest of the gals- thanks for sharing your journey with all of us- it is so much fun to see all of the pictures and read all of the stories about glamping, and I am BLESSED to have been able to join you for a small portion of it! Thank you!
Hugs,
