This is one I did a couple years ago. I have over 35 quilts hanging in my house I made them all. And try to get new ones made every week.

Diana, that's a great quilt. You are one very talented lady.

Today I finished my Aug Mail Art so it's ready to go. Sure is good to see the top of my kitchen table again.

Hugs, Sara

Diana, do you put batting in your table runners? Your design looks so nice, that I thought I might like to make one.

I just made some Cherry Blossom soap. I love the color (of course I am quite partial to anything pink) and it smells so good. I also made boxes to tuck the soap in. I really like how they came out even though my cricut machine still drives me bonkers.

hugs,
Marcy

Hi ladies,

Things have been busy around here. Been trying to finish up some projects so haven't been on thread lately.

Marcy: Love the soap. They are so cute.

Here is the finished yarn bowl. I am really pleased with it.

Just finished up the toy box/chaise lounge/bookcase for my grandson. I am also pleased how it turned out.

Well, just took some material out of the dryer. Need to iron them now and get started on a dozen microwave bowl cozies. I really need to get some done for Christmas. Plus I need to finish a few more things for my GS.

Hope everyone has a great day.... off to the sewing room for me ;-)

Good morning ladies. I have been busy during the summer. Teaching my granddaughter how to sew, making a quilted wall hanging and some quilted and lined zippered pouches from left over fabric.

Laurie, how old is your granddaughter? Mine is 5 going on 6 and I will be down over the holidays. I've purchased a sewing machine that has been delivered to their home. They live in CA and I live in WA state. Is she old enough to use a machine? I didn't do any machine sewing until I was about 12 which is why I am asking. Your DGD looks to be about the same age as mine.

Laurie, That is so neat that you are teaching your granddaughter to sew! My Mom bought me a little bitty sewing machine for Christmas when I was 10 so I learned to sew clothes for my Barbie and Miss Revlon dolls! Made my first dress (for myself) at 11! I think when lil' ones learn so early it is something that will be with them for the rest of their lives! Hurrah for you and how lucky that little gal is!

My best to all,
Mel

Betty, Monroe is 6 will be 7 in January. Monroe has watched me sew items and she asked me this summer to learn to sew on my machine. I started with the basics and she stitched up a pillow and a small blanket for her stuffed puppy. I'm making her an Elsa costume and she wants to help with that. Your DGD could learn to use the sewing machine. I started sewing when I was 7. Have been doing it ever since around 57 yrs. Diana, the purple with the chevron or zigzag. All are very pretty.

I like the blue and purple abstract one. It has subtle shading and has a young vibe to it.

I like the quilt posted on top. The quilt reminds me of old movie film running between the blocks. I've only ever made one black background quilt and it turned out really well.

Thanks. That was the first one I made. I'm now working on the third with scraps and a silver gray background. Just about finished with the top.
