I finished these booties over the weekend for a friend who is delivering her new baby boy today!
They are crocheted in size 10 crochet thread,I hope the roses don't make them too girly for a newborn baby boy.

Mel, that is beautiful. Did it take a long time? If it were me, it would probably take forever.

Thanks Marie and Mel. I think my grandson will love them. They are fun to make. I know what you mean about spending weeks on an afghan. I've had them take me forever to finish. But you are correct..... well worth the effort!

Can you believe I've made it through 2 kids, 7 gkids and, never made a bib?! I used scraps from the pillowcases I made for the gkids to make these for our 2 g-gdaughters. I have 8 cut out. Finished 4 yesterday. One went home on the oldest yesterday! I found this pattern free download on the internet (PurlSoho). I will enlarge the pattern today as the older girl is growing so fast! They will fit the 3 mo. old for awhile.

I am working on a crocheted bedspread. I am using Mary Janes hexagon pattern in the stitching room book. I am halfway there. I also just finished a cowl collar for my sister.
I love to be busy with my hands. It is a great way to be.

Well. just for giggles I sat down at my sewing machine today... and this is what I came up with...

The color is more intense but there was so much light in the room that I could not get a good photo shot...

The center sq. is called 'shufly'... I am making a table topper... now I need to decide what to do for the top stitch.. I haven't decided whether to hand stitch the topper or just do a simple cross top stitch... but for now I will set it aside and get back to (finishing) crocheting another rag rug,, one that I started a couple of weeks ago... Darn UFO's... lol!

Very pretty Mz Grace. I love the color combo. I seem to have more and more UFO's but last night I worked on the Quilt of Valor from all the red white and blue fabrics that ya'll sent to me. It is coming along nicely. I only worked about 30 minutes but got almost all the HST ironed and will put them on the project board this weekend in the order that I want to sew them. I think I may have decided on a boarder strip of 2 inch blocks .... hmmmmm .... maybe not ... ok I have not decided yet. But it is really nice to be sewing again even if its only in spurts.

Hugs and prayers, Daizy

I finally finished this bookmark. The chart is from Mary Engelbreit's Cross Stitch For All Seasons - The Happy Gardener picture. It has 2 small pictures on each side of the large picture, and they make excellent book marks. I already have a favorite book mark, so I'll probably give this as a gift

Beautiful Ladies! I love the table topper and the bookmark. Always wanted to learn to crochet but I am a knitter. Love the doll dress. What a beautiful job on the bookmark.

Aren't those bibs a hoot to make!

HI Girls, I have been out to the garden and put some seed in. I picked some turnip greens and they are real tender, I planted them last fall. They are growing good. I guess it is to late to put in carrots but we have had so much rain and I couldn't get out there. Any way they are planted and I put some radish in. Got to get my cucumber vines going and tomato plants.

I need to sew some skirts and dresses for the challenge "no pants summer", I took. Don't have to many summer skirts and dresses, except the church ones, I can't wear them in the garden. Wish me luck, Juanita Farm sister # 1020

ok, here it is, still can't get the colors to show correct...

I used the 'cross stitch' design on my sewing machine for some of the top stitching..
