Denise, thank you. I'm looking forward to seeing how the bowl turns out after firing. I thought the grow chart turned out nice. Hope DD likes it.
Know what you mean about quilting in the summer. I have a whole cloth in the loop but been to hot to work on it. I think if I needed to finish a quilt I might just have to turn the air conditioning to 68 and let everyone else in the house wear winter clothes. LOL. Good luck and post a photo when you get it done.
Lyn, sounds like you had a blast today. I bet the kids loved feeding the calves.

Soap popsicles. I wanted to try something fun with the soap and this is what I came up with. I made three small bars of soap, one blue, one pink and one yellow and chopped them into little squares. I added a little bit of body safe glitter to the clear soap to give it a little sparkle and added the scent. I had thought about what scent I was going to use and as these were supposed to be fun, I decided to use bubble gum. I loved bazooka bubble gum when I was a kid and the scent smells just like it. I wanted a piece of bubble gum so bad when Iwas making these. I love how they came out. I think these would be great for kids and those who are still kids at heart and like whimsical, fun things...like me.
hugs, Marcy

Marcy, your bubble gum soap pops are adorable!!! How big are your rose bath bombs? They are so pretty! Theresa, Love the growth chart! I am making four out of burlap. Yours took a lot more work. Your bowl looks beautiful too. Can't wait to see a pic after firing. Bonnie, I really like the colors in your rug!

Haha the rug is not finished, but I crocheted a very simple baby blanket with some gorgeous yarn from a local shop today! The picture doesn't do the colors justice, but you get the idea!

Those colors are beautiful, Bonnie!
I am working on a menagerie of things. I just finished up a crochet project but still have to add the decorations. It's hard to pick just one project.

I sure do! I grew up in Arroyo Grande, just 12 miles south. Never ever plan to move again. Ever. |

I'm working on getting ready to work on.
Yesterday at the Salvation Army I bought a vest with one large birdhouse pattern outside and a smaller different country pattern lining. I ripped it apart last night.
Also bought a boys shirt for the pretty green plaid material. Today they are in the washing machine; after ironing they will be ready for crafting.

Denise Ann, thinking about the green plaid for toppers for canning jars.
The lining of vest was the smaller print. Use to decorate greeting cards and gift tags for canning jar toppers.
The large birdhouses print will have to wait for an idea to strike me.
All material is washed & ironed just waiting on me.

Diana, I really like the graphic design of your quilt.
Today I hope to finish up my Aug Mail Art project. Can't tell you what it is because it's to be a surprise. I can tell you I am making an envelope for it to go in. I really like making one of a kind envelopes. The envelope may have to wait until tomorrow.
Take apart an envelope that you like - trace it onto thin cardboard - for a pattern. The design can be made smaller or larger. Use paper/material of choice and decorate.
I am still using 10 year old patterns.

Diana... dang,,, you are one busy lady! all I have done lately is (& it still needs to be finished) another Train Case. This one I tried something different.. I used cute Duct Tape, w/a Scottie motif... (found at Walmart for $3 per roll. I used the tape for the inside and then I used heavy duty gift wrap (Hobby Lobby) for the outside. Now when I can get a day to myself,,, or quit playing on the computer, I might get the embellishments done! lol!
oh well, there is always tomorrow! lol!
