My goodness! Thanks Anne! No wonder all the old timers around here always had rows of pretty flowers on each side of their garden!!! I think I'm going to plant some marigolds, nast., and some petunias! And I always plant sunflowers around the edges!

You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt!

I have always planted flowers with my veggies - not always because they attract the bugs, but that is a benefit, but because I like to mix it up and add color. Also I find having the flowers attracts the bees that in turn help pollinate my veggies and fruit - just helps make the vegetable area more "lively". Also it attracts the humming birds too - as I say the more the merrier.
