Doing some Spring Cleaning today.
I inherited this quilt when my Granny passed away. I've had it on a wall hanger for about 5 years. I enjoyed seeing it, it's like looking at Fabric Art!
My Granny would want me to use it. She and her Sister and Sister-in-law quilted it in the 1950's.
I took it down today, washed it and put it on my bed along with some hand Crochet pillow cases my neighbor's mom made many years ago.My neighbor knows I love vintage so she gave me a whole
Box of vintage linens.I just love them. I cannot crochet! I've tried and tried!

Beautiful wedding ring quilt and pillow cases. I have several crocheted pillow cases my mother or grandmother made. I love the feel of them on the pillows.

What a lovely gift from your grandmother and neighbor. I tried that teeny tiny crochet too and can't do it either.

Beautiful linens! Don't feel bad about not being able to crochet, at least you tried. For a long time all I could crochet was mitten strings, now I've graduated to wonky shaped t shirt yarn rugs.

Oh Connie,
What treasures you have. The quilt and the pillow cases are gorgeous and I bet it feels like you are sleeping under very special hugs.

Oh Connie, I love your double wedding ring quilt.. and I agree, use it! snuggle up with it...don't be afraid to get cookie crumbs on it!
Like you, I too love vintage linens.. tattered & torn or in pristine condition..
They tell a story, some are family stories and some are mysteries.. but stories none the less..
Thanks for sharing them with us...
