Look who is learning to crochet! So far he is only working on the chain stitch, but he is mastering it pretty quickly. I had to sneak the picture. I didn't want him to stop crocheting knowing that I was taking a picture lol! I am so proud of him.

That is awesome Krista. There are so many guys who crochet now. I've seen alot of them on YouTube.

I tried teaching my two granddaughters. The oldest picked it up like she has been doing it her whole life. The younger struggles. Strange how somethings are easy for some and not others.

I think that's just the coolest Krista!!: I'd be super proud too! Who know what this positive craft will do for him in the future? Sure better than being on a phone surfing thier life away! WTG mom!!

I taught knitting classes at our Middle School before I retired. The kids loved it! Some of the boys came to the first lass to be with the girls, but they soon decided that it looked like fun! They actually picked it up very quickly. They received a skein of yarn and a set of homemade needles to keep. Many of them finished their scarves and wanted to learn more! It was great! Boys should be encouraged to use their hands. My students really found it rewarding to see their scarves take shape. . .two of the boys worked really hard on theirs so that they could wear them to show off their skills!

He will be making himself a winter hat in no time. One of my grandsons learned to knit as a class project in 4th grade.

He says thank you all! It sure makes him feel good. And I agree. It's a much better hobby then spending time on technology!
