My woods are exploding with this but I can't find it in any of my books - does anyone know what it might be? I'd love to know if I can use it for something.
Not the best picture but you can see it has long slender leaves at the bottom
Here's a better look at the flower

They are beautiful! Type Ohio white wildflowers into google and a chart comes up. See if you recognized it. Connie w.

I can’t help you with the name but if you have an iPhone, take a picture and then click on the ! under the pic. Then under the picture you can click look up. Hopefully makes sense. :)

Interesting hint with your phone, Karen. I will have to try that. Good luck identifying Heather.

We have the wild hyacinths here in the Chicago area. Our warm temps and lots of rain this spring has produced a beautiful crop of wildflowers here in the woods. Enjoy your show before it disappears!

I love my plant id app. After becoming a Master Gardner everyone had an app to identify plants people would bring in if they didn't know them. There are several free ones but you can experiment with the one you like tge best. We have SO many wildflower varieties here! Its good to know what you are handling!!

I don't have a smart phone or ipad (or a cell phone LOL). Just a camera and an old laptop. So thanks so much for helping me!!!! I have a lot of books for identifying wild herbs but they only list what the author chooses to include for medicinal purposes. That app would be incredibly handy!!!!

I am no help, but they sure look pretty. Hopefully you can figure out what they are and maybe be able to use them.

I love the Picture This app! I have used it so much for identifying wildflowers, weeds in the yard, and plants at the nursery missing labels. Handiest app ever.
