Oh thanks for the kind words. All the blocks are so beautiful. Did someone say something about a fall swap and did I miss the boat on that?
Thanks

Yahoo I got mine today!! You girls all did a wonderful job I am so impressed. I want to do another but maybe a 12" which will be a 12 1/2/' block size and at the very least nine. I would be mama for that one if yous want. I got to go out of town until tomorrow night, but if there is interest we will do it. Thursday I will start a swap. Thanks again, yous are the best! A special thankyou to Clare for hosting and helping Sunshine through her move. God bless you!

Oh, Carrie. I am SO VERY GLAD you got your blocks. I was nervous they would arrive safely and in a reasonable time, too. Yeah!! Carrie, start a thread for teh next swap. I am looking forward to getting going on this. I have fall blocks (different sizes, each one) from a quilting group swap and would love more to make a quilt out of them.

Carrie,
I would love to join your swap. I like the larger blocks too. I will keep my eye out for the new thread. But, if you don't here form me would you mind emailing me directly? I will be layed up the last week of August but should be fine by the week after. I find sewing so relaxing.
Clare, You did a great job of hosting this past swap. I realy love all my blocks! You are all a great group of ladies.

Welcome to your new home, Grace. How wonderful to have the last bit of summer and fall to settle in. I am so glad your blocks were forwarded. It was a really good swap. Once you get settled in, you will have a nice project to work on.

My husband picked up the mail yesterday so the blocks were waiting for me when I got home from work last night. What a treat!! They are lovely, and you all outdid yourselves! I look forward to the next swap - now to figure out how to put them all together.....

Please let me know when you get it. I am really neurotic about the usps system these days.

ok, so I had a "sewing therepy" day, and have assembled all the squares. Now I just need to find the right backing. I usually stay with a solid for the back sides of quilts, but I am thinking I may go a little bold & try to find a print that is compatable with these wonderful red/white & blue squares.
Has anyone else completed a quilt with their swapped squares?

i think sheryllyn has her top together and Clare is working on hers. Mine...well...mine are on the ironing board with the fabric i want to use for the backing...but there it sits. Good project for cold nights ahead.
