Hi girls!!
I’ve so enjoyed the past fabric postcard swaps. Anyone up for a summer themed fabric postcard swap? If there is interest, we can come up with dates and deadlines!
Please forgive me if I am stepping on someone’s toes that usually hosts these swaps. :)

Take any postcard and attach any fabric to it by glue or some other means.

Look on Pinterest for fabric postcards. One link is saroy.net and that page is called 100 days of fabric postcards.
I make them by sewing fabric onto a heavy interfacing - i use a fusible pellon and iron my fabric on. I sew this, when finished, to a cardstock with a postcard design. There are several methods on Pinterest. They can be many designs from simple to elaborate. They are fun to make and you can be as creative as you like. You usually make one for each person who signs up in the swap. Some people actually add postage and mail them and some prefer to send them in envelopes. To mail you need to be sure they are the correct size for the USPO.

I love fabric postcards. Both the hosting of the swap and the creating. But depending on the timing of the deadlines I am not sure I can join.

Hi Girls! I apologize for not updating/answering questions sooner. I have been out of cell service since last Thursday. I am back to reality now.
Linda, thank you for answering the question about what fabric postcards are! I appreciate you. :)
Since we have enough interest, here are the dates:
Sign-ups until May 26th.
Mail by June 9th.
You will make one postcard for each participant. I will post a list of the participants in the original post on May 27th. If you do not have an address for a participant, please reach out to that person. :)

Thank you to you and to all for the explanation . It sounds like so much fun ! I’m sorry to say I will not be joining as I just don’t think with my work schedule and being a Quilting Rookie that I would be able to keep up. I certainly would not want to disappoint anyone . Retirement is just 10 months away but who’s counting :)
Maybe then I will be a confident quilter with plenty of time .

No worries, Joanne! I’m sure we will keep hosting this fun swap. But don’t over think it either. I don’t always sew my fabric to the postcards…I use glue or wonder under/fusible interfacing!

So far there are only 6 or 7 in this swap, so won't be too many to make and send. Definitely doable for me. My husband will be gone all day Saturday and I am planning on making postcards then.
