To me this is what pure happiness is! Being outside under the beautiful sun in a corral with a baby calf sucking on your hand! We got another calf on Wednesday night and Bexten has been in love since the moment he saw the calf.
He even tried feeding him the bottle! Bexten is already great at helping out.
I will forever be grateful that I am able to raise my kids in the country and teach them to love and care for farm life. I hope these important values stick with them for a lifetime.

Krista, those photos are absolutely precious! I'm sure the values and life you are giving to your children WILL last a lifetime. Such precious gifts, they just don't know it yet! You're doing a great job, Mama Bear!

These pictures show true joy! Bexten is adorable. There is nothing better than growing up on a farm in my opinion. It is a blessing to our children to have lots of fresh air, sunshine and love. It is a blessing to see you giving that to your children!

Oh Krista… where is that sweet baby you posted photos of not that long ago?… has a year gone by already? Oh how fast they do grow… Brexten is so precious,, all your ‚littles and not so littlest“ are precious,,, it goes without saying, enjoy these precious moments… they grow up way to soon..

Grace, it truly has gone by way too fast. I don't know how that year went as quickly as it did. I wish I could freeze time.
Denise, I agree! I wish that I could have grown up on a farm. I knew for a long time that the city life just wasn't for me, so I am very grateful I found an amazing husband who gave me the farm life I always needed.

I love that first picture! My mom tells me that when I was little and would go outside to play I wasn't supposed to leave the yard. She's turn around for just a minute and I'd be gone. They always found me in the calf barn :) Taking care of and playing with the calves is still my favorite part of dairy farming!!

Heather, he loves being out with Percy! It's sad that our weather has been really cold and windy lately so I haven't been able to take Bexten outside as much. I bet when he is older he will be just like you, always running to go play with the calves.
