I always have to give the door handle a little twist after I lock it to make sure it's locked.

Staying with the pop theme. If I am drinking a can of anything (pop or otherwise) I always twist the poptab sideways - that way I always know which one is mine.

When I hang out my laundry, I have to make sure that I hang things from the largest to the smallest. Like, I can't have a pair of jeans hanging and then a sock when I have more pants to hang! Susan |

When I eat P-nut M&Ms I eat all the candy shell/chocolate off and spit the p-nut out.
All our clocks are set at least 5 minutes early. Haven't been late to too much....hubby is the same way We'll probably each be early to our own funerals! |

I love Reese's peanut butter cups and when I eat them, I nibble around the outer rim first, the chocolate part, then savor the middle with the peanut butter. I take little bites and let it melt in my mouth. |

When I am picking something out from a store, for example a trinket or decorative object, I have to take the first one I pick up even if it has a minor defect. I only put something back if it is really broken.
Also when I have to set my alarm clock, I have to turn it on, then off, then on again. This started out as a practical measure once I figured out that the alarm would not go off if I had changed the alarm time after already having switched the alarm button to "on". So now I do the extra switching on and off to make sure that it is properly set.
One other thing- If someone pops a joint around me, it makes me have to pop something too!

My husband likes the pink and blue packaged sweeteners, I like the yellow package. I have three vintage glass jars on my counter: one for each and I don't like the colors to be mixed. A blue package does NOT belong in the yellow jar....did someone mention OCD???
Candy corn at Halloween -- nibble the bottom first, then the tip, and finally the middle.
I've learned that it takes as much time and energy to wish as it does to plan.

Ok, I always have to see what color candy, such as m&m's or skittles or jellie beans. I have to see what color it is before I put it in my mouth. I know, Im sick. I've tried to pop it in my mouth without looking and I always pull it out and check it,lol. Now that's the sick part. lol Sometimes I have to turn the light BACK on and then turn it off again, I won't go into the other things. Yep, I'm crazy, lol. The truth is out. ~~Blessings, Mikki

I always tap my soda can top too!! My books have to be in order on the shelves according to height, and very neat! My cupboards have to have everything together with cans/jars etc... facing forward stacked very very neatly so when I open my cupboard I can see exactly what I have and how much. Messy cupboards in my own house drive me nuts, so does a messy fridge or freezer...but my bestest friend ever is the oppisite!! I have no clue what she has when I am there, but she does!! *sigh* My kitchen and bathroom and bedroom have to be very neat and clean, but the kids can tear up the playroom and that's fine with me...go figure Hugz to All! Alee...for those of us from the 70's, could you clarify what you mean by popping a joint...you mean like cracking your knuckles? I kept thinking "What could Alee possibly be popping if someone is smoking marijana around her? A stick of gum? Lifesavers candy?" LOL! Sorry! MY little quirk is that I can only eat half of anything, bananas, cookies, you name it! Probably left over from a very weight obsessed adolesence! Drives my family nuts!!! |

Ok....I hide my vitamins....my husband puts them out for me in the morning. I hate to swallow big pills, so I usually hide them.
Also....I smell everything. I seem to have a really keen sense of smell...so I smell everything....weird, huh?

I read magazines back to front I sort Skittles into the separate colors,in groups, in rainbow order (r,o,y,g,p) and eat them accordingly. I can chew the same piece of gum until it falls apart in my mouth and have woken up with the same piece in my mouth. (I don't chew much gum anymore :)) I can't think if my hair is down. At the grocery, I grab my item from the back of the shelf.

When I eat m&ms, I have to sort them into piles that each have one of each color in 'em. Then I eat each pile making sure that the last pile left has the prettiest off all of them, (ie: the m's actually appear and look nice and no deformed chocolate elbows stickin' out...)

Oh my gosh! I see little bits of myself all over this thread!!! I for sure have to hang laundry fom largest to smallest, and pairs of socks together with the heels facing the same way. I get such a proud feeling when I see the clothesline!
XOXO, Libbie

I pop my knuckles (have since I was a kindergartener) and it's the only bad habit I have. But I have to pop them at least once before I can sleep in my bed. I have to pop them if I get nervous too. I eat all of the cookie dough out of the cookie dough ice cream and leave the ice cream! (that drove my roommate nuts!) The dishwasher has to be loaded the correct way and the laundry has to be done a certain way and folded a certain way. And I like my clothes hung up a certain way.
My mom had the funny quirk of standing on her tip toes when she was barefoot in the kitchen! :) |

I sort my m&m's too. I eat 2 at a time always starting with yellow, then orange, green, brown, red then blue. Every once in a while I'll switch the red and blue around.
I only eat one thing at a time. For instance with any dinner with veggies, I eat all the veggies first. Then the potatoes then the meat. And no food can touch any other food. If anything touches there will sort of be a "no man's" land of a narrow strip of the two foods that I WON'T eat.
I also arrange my pantry so that whatever can/jar/box is in front; that is what is behind it. It annoys me when my family discombobulates my pantry because they want to see what's behind! I can't understand why they don't get it yet?
We come from Nature, we go back to Nature; health & happiness in between requires intimacy with Nature. |
