I agree I think we should do an autumn clothespin swap and then maybe a Christmas clothespin swap. How cute would it be to have farmgirl Christmas or winter solstice clothespins holding our cards on a clothesline across the mantel?

I think a Winter Holiday Christmas Solstice Yule one would be great.

So, how's everyone doing? Have we all sent our clothespins? I'm getting excited for the 15th and seeing what everyone has crafted.

wahoo, I can hardly wait to start using the Ultra Farm Girl Chic coth pins when they arrive.

If we do a Winter/Holiday clothpin swap, I will use them to hold Christmas cards-garland style...

Oh, how I hate to do this...but I have to back out. I have the pins, the pens, but not the time. Mother-in-law is in her last days at Hospice and I just cannot do this. I hope I haven't totally messed things up. I was so looking forward to it! Maybe I'll hang on to the pins until the Autumn swap or Christmas...
Thanks for all of your understanding.
Sharon

I saw naked clothes pins (gasp) and all I could think was how much nicer it would be to decorate them. I need help. :) Actually, I've taken this idea and shared a few with neighbors too...I think you've started something here!

Wouldn't they be so cute holding up cards? You could pin them on the tree. I used some to clip pictures to the curtians when all the wedding/graduation announcements started pouring in and the mantle had no more space. So fabulous.

Big hug Sharon.

We make a difference.

I think so too. I have been using extras on gift packages, attaching them to the ribbons with a note held in their gripper. Also adding a heavy duty magnet to a few for refrigerator magnets.

I love the clothespin ideas!! When it is time for the Winter Holiday swaps, I'll be glad to hostess it if a hostess is needed. I think they will be adorable holding Christmas cards and other trinkets across the mantelpiece or down a stair rail.

Looking forward to seeing all of the clothespins soon!!

They really are very, very fun to do and so, so pretty!! I will be tucking mine away for the move. I will have a clothesline then. We aren't allowed a clothesline in this subdivision where I live right now!

I am making plans for the winter solstice/Christmas clothespin exchange!

Hi, ladies! Sorry to have been MIA--incredible amounts of stuff happening here.

I know that Ricki and Sharon have had to back out, which is sad but COMPLETELY understandable. I've also got four new packages at my door in the last few days. The visiting family is headed to Durango today, so tonight is my "catch-up-with-clothespin-swap" night. I'll sort all of the ones I have, make changes according to who has backed out, and get these puppies in the mail (hopefully tomorrow!). I have to "fix" a handful that arrived slightly compromised thanks to the U.S. Postal Service--nothing that can't be overcome with some glue... (really, there aren't a lot of things that can't be overcome with glue....)

I'm all about doing some more solstice clothespin swaps. Just imagine bright, beautiful ribbon with Winter Solstice clothespins holding farmgirl Christmas/Hanukkah/Solstice/Holiday cards! THAT would be something!

OK, so..... in getting things packed up for our move to Washington, my retractable clothes line is one of the things packed.... I did a small basket load of hand wash the other day....no clothes line, eek! so I had to get creative,,, I took the 2 shepard hooks (used to hold bird feeders) ran 2 lines across them & made a makeshift clothes line. But to quote Michelle, I had to use "naked" clothes pins!!! LOL! so I can hardly wait to get my farmgirl crafted clothes pins. Don't wanna be guilty of using naked cloth pins again!

If mine were some of the ones that got broken, let me know. I have a couple leftovers here that I missed when I packed them up (which I can send) and/or you can replace the broken ones out of my pile.

Okay, ladies, here's the latest list of the packages assocaited with the swap. Names in bold represent packages I have received.

Single Round Participants

A.k.a. farmgirls making 18 clothespins, getting a mix of 18--including two of their own!--back:

Aunt George
EmmJay
Buttercup--stuck at the post office
Huckelberrywine

Double Round Participants -- ALL HAVE ARRIVED!

Or farmgirls making 36 clothespins and getting a mix of 36 back again:

Buttercup, your package has arrived in Santa Fe; they are holding it at the post office which is *quite* a ways from my house. I'm hoping to get by there in the next day or so in order to bring your package in the mix and get the group of 18 out the door ASAP.

While I won't make the solstice delivery date, I should be able to get the double-round pins out by week's end.

I'll keep you posted on the latest arrivals and progress. These clothespins are AMAZING! Hope all of you enjoy seeing them as much as I have--they're wonderful!

XO,
K
