Oh my word April! Those ideas you posted are adorable! I especially love the kite!I Today I actually stopped by a vintage shop on my way home from an appointment and found one hanky in 45 minutes! Paid $2 for it. The little sticker said unused. I thought that was hilarious. Ate they that hard to find??

Such great ideas abound!! Lol!!

Dianna, I would say no, not in our area. I shop at an antique marketplace nearby and some of the booths has stacks and stacks of hankies. Here they range anywhere from $1.50-5.00. I’m not sure what a thrift store would charge though. :)

They came this afternoon and I love them already! The company even had a first time buyer promo for a free men's hankie, which I gave to my husband so he wouldn't feel left out. :)

Dianna, I love that it said unused... :D That would be my biggest fear with vintage hankies. I could use them for crafting, but not for their intended purpose. I know that they are washed, bleach exists, and it's an unreasonable aversion, but I just don't think I could. Lol!

Oh Hanna, those are lovely…
I hand wash mine with Dawn and a drop or two of Lysol disinfectant. Then I rinse in water with lavender EO.., air dry and then I iron them flat, fold and keep them in my keepsake box with lavender sachet.

Hannah, those are lovely!
Karen, I bought a bunch of vintage linens a couple of years ago from a vendor who had an antique booth in your area. I wish I could remember their name. They had the nicest things!

An online shop I stumbled across called Bumblebee linens. They have a lot of really pretty things of this nature, I thought! I will definitely order from them again. But I am also going to start keeping an eye out at the antique shops.

Estate sales are a great place to find vintage hankies and other collectibles. I'm still looking for my hankies. I put them up so they would be safe and so far, they are truly safe from me finding them.

Hannah, I remember that shop. I did go there a while back, but unfortunately I'm a bit of a thrift shopper so too expensive for my taste especially if I'm crafting with them!! ;) But for gifts, right on!! :D

Sara, too cute and can relate!! I chalk it up to overload not age! Lol! You'll find them just when you need them!! Ohhh, what will these 3 shops have in store for me today?? :)

Dianna, yes some of them do get expensive, especially when looking at the linen or monogrammed ones. The print ones like I got weren't too bad, though I agree still too much for crafting. That is why I only have a few for feeling "fancy" and my .19 bandanas for the day to day! Hehe! Happy thrifting today!

Sara, I do that literally ALL the time and I wish it was just with hankies. Sometimes it's money, internet passwords, car keys... The struggle is real, sister, and you are not alone! :D

Beautiful hankies, Hannah!! :) The beginning of a collection, I’m sure!!

Debbie…I would to know the name if you remember it!! There is a place in Richland called the Uptown Antique Market. That’s were I found some for a swap.

Dianna, good luck thrifting. I want to go thrifting so bad…my partner in crime works though…lol

Karen, I will look through my business cards and see if I still have their info. I think it was a husband and wife.

On page 2 of this thread, is a photo of hankies tucked in to a mini metal mannequin…
Well look what I found in my stash,,,

Now I need to dig through my hankies and display them on my mini metal mannequin.

Ok, here it is… I tried to recreate the Hanky mini mannequin… it’s not as easy as it looks…

Grace, Katmom and Hannah, I love the hankies that you have showed and the ideas of what to do with them are really creative!! There are so many designs out there too! Thanks for sharing what you have here so we can all see. I have a few here and there and I should try and gather them all up and share. Dianna, I think that $2 Hankey is quite pretty! Lots of details on it and I like the bright yellow color.

Grace what a great idea for Jubilee! I love all pictures of the creative ideas!
I too grew up carrying a hankie in my purse to Sunday school, then as a young mother in my purse. My Granny always had one in her purse and dress pocket and her apron pocket.
My neighbor gifted me a box of vintage linens that belonged to her mother -in -law after she passed away. There were many hankies in the box. She was an Elementary school teacher, and they were gifts from her students.
Winnie and I were just talking about how our moms and Grandmothers always had a Hankie.
