Funny, and sad, I don't remember hankies growing up or in my lifetime at all being used by family or me! Sad huh? Its a beautiful idea Grace as I've seen some gorgeous hankies out there and have received a couple from past swaps. Ill be on the lookout when.i go to the thrift stores.
Winnie, could k d an idea using them be like a prayer flag or something? Ohhh, also check out Karen's art mail to April this month! That was beautiful using lace. Maybe even a care package wrapped in a hanky swap?

Hannah, great find and great price! You can always doll them up with a little lace or trim if you choose too, otherwise, they are perfect just they way they are! Certainly functional!

The pin cushion jar is perfect for re-cycling a old, well used hankie.
You can even ‘frame’ small bits of hankies.

I  bought this lovely book about vintage hankies, a great resource.
I was delighted to find a ‘Tom Lamb’ hanky and a Shirley Temple hanky.
I am always on the lookout for sweet hankies.. and I even remember where I found these 2, at a Church run Thrift Store in Palm Springs…

Wow, nice collection Grace. My mom never had hankies, so I have just been introduced through MJF and now look for them in thrift stores.

Oh Grace, I am jealous! I never put too much thought into hankies beyond their utilitarian purpose. My Pop-pop is the only person I ever actually knew to carry one, and it was always a plain large square. You ladies have made me take a second look at these beauties and I am anxiously awaiting my order of "fancies".

Oh, that reminds me, I have a black metal mini mannequin that is hanging in my trailer,, and a pink one on my dresser,, I just might have to decorate them with some hankies!!
