Welcome Barbie! I hope you will check out some of the closed swaps and see how much fun we have. I enjoy looking at picture people post even on swaps I don't join. Some very creative people here.

Good Morning Farmgirls,
Well, the packages are arriving and lookie above, Levisgrammy says she's almost done!! WOW!! Now you know, you don't have to use all the stuff I send. You don't have to use the book either if you have something else you would rather make your masterpiece from LOL. They are just to inspire your creative juices to get flowing. The response has been awesome and I still have eight more books to make. My average speed is to make two per day. So obviously it will be next week before I get them all out. But like I said in the original posting, they would go out ON OR BEFORE the swap close date. So if you haven't received yours yet, please know it is on the way. In the meantime, keep those creative juices flowing and have a lovely weekend.

And, oh yes, stock up on chocolate . . . .
hugs,
jean

Hahahahaha not to worry Rubberfish. This chatroom is riddled with typo bullet holes. And, I'm probably the queen of typos. LOL.

WOW!! Karen, I am impressed. What a fast worker you are. And, being the beneficiary of some of your beautiful cards and such, I know your Junk Journal is awesome.

Here's a little "newbie tidbit" for those of you who are new to this particular artform. Take a couple of sheets in your book and fold down the top corner of the first sheet partway. Staple the two pages together on the side and bottom where they "kiss" each other. If you don't like the look of the staples, cover them up with washi tape.

You have created a pocket where you can put a note or a tag or whatever your little heart desires. And you have made two pages into one. More newbie tidbits to come as time marches on.
Four more packages out the door today. Four more to go.

I haven't started on mine yet. In Albuquerque dealing with a family issue for at least a couple weeks. Have thought about theme but really need to know my partner first.

You know Journal Junkies, themes are great especially if you need direction to get going on junk journals. But they aren't necessary. Your creation can just be an eclectic collection of ephemera and different processses. And, as you can see in the event you use the little books I send -- which you certainly don't have to do -- they are divided into three sections which might inspire three different ideas such as "Yesterday", "Today", and "Tomorrow" . . . . or Collage, Painting, and Rubber Stamping . . . . etc. etc. You get the idea. Let your muse guide you and have fun.

My matra I say everyday to get me motivated, it says “My unique and creative talents and abilities flow through me” and my little Budha helps.
I am just having trouble getting those creative juices flowing and I need all the help I can get. Thank you Jean.

I am so excited look what my girlfriend in Colorado sent me for me birthday, an unfinished junk journal, so cool. As you can see it is made from books long forgotten like Nancy Drew. I love it and arriving now as I try to be creative.
I just had to share it with you.

Mine is going to be more eclectic. No theme really. Just seeing what happens as each day is different and so are my thoughts and creativity.

Well, I do believe today is my last day of making books for the swap . . . that is unless we get some late entries these last couple of July days. Now I will try to declutter the horrendous mess I have made in the studio . . . see attached for the start I have made on that . . .

How are your creations coming along ?? Don't be shy about posting photos or comments as you work on your Junk Journals. I hope y'all are enjoying the process.

Farmgirl hugs,
jean

Wow, such amazing junk goodies and adorable journal Jean! Thank you!! Got my envelope this morning! I'm out working in the garden.but will begin tonight. Won't take long as much is inked and stamped. Just some gluing and inking. I love the little playing cards and papers and frames. Those are definitely in it. Thank you again.:)
