I'm hoping mine will come soon. My trip was postponed for a week or so - details later - but I could work on my journal.

Glad to see goodies are arriving.

Hey, BIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGG welcome to Barbie Nelis aka Rubberfish. She has been a dear friend for about 25 years. Yep. We met at a beginning quilting class through Cooperative Extension in Carson City, Nevada many many moons ago and have been fast friends forever since -- except when we get ticked off at one another -- it happens LOL. She now lives in South Carolina and I live in Idaho. But we've stayed connected through email and through her WONDERFUL envelope swaps. I put information about her upcoming swap in your Journal packages. Whoever ends up as Barbie's partner is in for a real treat as she is a very gifted paper artist.
She is new to the chatroom and like me and many of you has initially found it cumbersome to get around in. So let's help her get acclimated and feel welcomed. I am so thrilled that you are joining us Barbie.
Big Farmgirl Hugs,
jean

Welcome, Barbie. A lot of great gals on the MJF forum, and lots of nice swaps, too.

I received my journal and junk today. Thank you, Jean.

I will think about the envelopes - I have done them before. I'm curious - how decorated can they be and still make it in one piece through the mail. They damage so much lately.

Linda -- I rarely send my decorated envelopes through the mail. When I do, I put them in a clear sleeve and address and stamp that. I use mine mainly for gifting and hand delivered messages.

Glad to hear things are starting to arrive. I have four more to mail out tomorrow.

Good morning Journal Junkies . . .
A non Farmgirl gal pal sent this to me this morning and I absolutely adore it. Such good inspiration for making your junk journals. I don't know who wrote it, but it's wonderful. Take heart Farmgirls . . .

"When you're a kid, you color with reckless abandon. You color outside the lines. You color however you feel. Blue elephants, purple trees, red bears, green oceans -- it’s all good. As you get older, though, everyone tells you to stay inside the lines, to color everything just like you see it. You end up painting by numbers -- whether you actually paint or whether you write or sing or act or direct. I think you should create what you feel. Create outside the lines. I want to watch green oceans and red bears. I’d love to listen to purple trees. And I long to read blue elephants." --WRDSMTH (on Instagram)

I love this quote Jean. The “paper outpost” that I follow on YouTube is always saying “let’s create something with reckless abandon”.

Welcome Marilyn. You're on the list.

Four more packages out the door to the Post Office today. Eight more books to make -- next week's projects.

A big shout out once again to Linda (Quiltee) who sent me these awesome little binder clips for my FGOTM gift. I can't tell you how wonderful they are not only for quilting but as you can see, for my book making too. They even allow me to eliminate one step in the construction process because I can color code the head of the book (red ones) instead of having to mark it before I punch the holes. Thanks again Linda.
