Has anyone heard of this? Im about to try it. I read a bit of it in a book by Paula Simmons but really wanted to know more & found more info via internet. Its another rug thing (love making rugs) & I can still use my yarns. Just wondered if anyone has tried it?

Hi Michele
Sorry for the delay in response but been catching up on orders. I have tons of information and supplies. I have been teaching this art form for nearly nine years now and love it. There are new tools out there, new supplies and tons of new ideas. This is the one class that I am always requested to teach when I go to shows. It is a very easy technique and I have many men participating in this too. Let me know how I can help. Also, it is not just for rugs, we have smaller tools and techniques that I have made earrings, jewelry, book covers, garments such as vests, shirts, skirts, coats, hats, scraves, gloves, wall hanging and the list goes on. Please let me know how I can assist you in this easy yet fun craft.

This craft was around for hundred of years. It was a way to put warmth on the floors and walls of homes using the "Unusable" wool that a shepard had. Using a the base old cloth and burlap. Now we have monk cloth, rug canvas and wonderful linens. I also carry a new small tool that makes it possible to Locker Hook in the smallest of yarns, ribbons and even beads. I have a dear friend who has written a book about this simple craft. I am the only one in Colorado who sells it - in fact, in the past three years she has given me all the rights to it. I have taken it steps further in showing students how to use this technique in purchased clothing, felted purses, home decor and much more. If you would be interested I could post some of the items on my blogsite and further general info so you can get an idea of how it is done! Would you be interested?

Grace I'd love to get my supplies from you then if you have them. I've got yarn but which backing is better? I read you need a hook that has an eye at one end & a crochet hook at the other. I really want to try rugs first. Do you have info on supplies?? My hubby needs computer now, I'll check in tom.
