I've been peaking at the forums for a few weeks now, and I've finally decided to jump in!
I have an 8 month old son, two stepsons (7 and 9 yo), a husband, a dog, two cats, some laying hens, 50 acres, and unfortunately, a job. Although, as far as the job goes, it's OK, I'm a community development/land use specialist with Extension.
I can't wait for spring, we've started our seeds, purchased some cattle, now we're just waiting for things to warm up around here!

Welcome Alicia! I'm new here too. I'm trying to be patient and wait for the "real" Spring to arrive too. I'm in Connecticut and although we haven't had the snow that some of the other New England states are getting, it's been very cold.

Hi Jan, I see you're from Tomahawk! I was just talking with my little son's daycare provider about Tomahawk. She's moving to Point, and I'm trying to talk her into nannying when we visit friends near Tomahawk. That's a beautiful area!

I love it here. I moved here from Germantown (Milw area). My friend Jim, the love of my life, lives in Price county in the town of Spirit, so now we're closer to each other. It is pretty here, but I'm tired of it being white!! I've been coming up here for the last 5yrs, so I know it will get better soon.

Hi Alicia, nice to have you join in. Where are you at in our state? I'm north of Bruce. At least these April snow showers don't stay on the ground too long. Michele

Alicia, Welcome and so glad you did join in! Do tell us more about your hobbies and interests. Your place sounds roomy, which is good! What kind of cattle did you buy? Will be so neat to get to know you better as I see you round our wonderful "farm"! Hugz! Talitha

Welcome. Congrats on jumping right in. I have looked at seed catalogs and we are surronded by livestock, but not brave enough yet to leap into that arena. My excuse, it would upset the dogs. (yes they are spoiled) I work also and attend college of in all places California( finishing my degree there as not all of my classes transfered and they do not have a comparable degree in Colorado)

Hi, there, Alicia! WOW! You really have jumped in to the farm scene with cows and seedlings and all - you'll have such fun, and these gals here have so much combined experience, knowledge and kindhearted humor - everytime you visit here it'll feel like you're coming home. I can't wait to hear more about your farming!
XOXO, Libbie
