Hi everyone!
I just joined the forum and thought my first post should be to introduce myself. We live on just a titch over 8 acres in SE Minnesota. By we I mean me, hubby, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 3 pygmy goats, 7 chickens, and 7 cats. I was born a farmgirl. My family had a dairy farm until I was 5 then my dad got hurt and couldn't do it anymore so we moved to town. So I grew up a "town kid", tried the "big city girl" thing when I left home, and came full circle I guess a few years ago when we bought our little farm. Absolutely love it here!!! I love to grow things. Have got some veggie, herb, and flower seeds sprouting in my makeshift greenhouse. Can't wait to get out and dig in the garden but our MN weather is not cooperating!! I also love to craft. I knit, crochet, sew, make soap, scrapbook, etc, etc.

Welcome Jen! I know you'll just love it here. Lots of us share your interests & story! I'm itching to get out in my gardens too. But Mother Nature is not cooperating. I feel like we live in "Frostbite Falls" MN!

Hi Jen! And welcome! The weather here in Kentucky isn't much better. We had temps in the high 70's and low 80's for a couple of weeks, then last week, after everything started coming up and/or blooming, we began 8 or 9 days of nightly freezes(mid 20's)! :(

Welcome Jen! Always glad to see another Mn Farmgirl! Your farm sounds wonderful. You will find many kindred spirits here. Hopefully we'll miss the 6 inches of snow predicted for today and have a bit of warmth soon so we can get out to our gardens!
Ricki- I know some firefighters in your town. We built a couple of your fire trucks there.

Welcome Jen! I just love Minnesota...I lived there many years ago...second son was born there...what a beautiful place to be!! Hi Jen! Welcome...you will find so many gals here that share your interests...make sure you keep us up to date on your projects.....will see you at Barnyard Buddies quite a bit, I suspect. We share just about the same types of animals on our farms.....fainting goats, however. Tell us more.....
