Hi, Broke my right (and prominent) arm recently and I just can't get my cups clean. I remember reading of something natural that I could put in my cups, but I can't remember exactly what it was. Any ideas? Thanks! Kreativeblonde |

I rub them gently with baking soda - might need two hands for that, hmmmm. |

I would even go so far as to say combine the two other suggestions :) White vinegar and baking soda. This will cause some foaming (don't use too much) which will get most messes nice and bubbled out.
When I had broken arms with casts I would also get a plastic bag and put my hand inside the bag and tie the bag as far up the arm as it would go. Then you can use your immoblized arm to brace to item so you can scrub it.
I also suggest letting your cups and mugs soak in hot soapy water for half an hour before cleaning them so that most everything will already be loosened up and should be much easier to clean.
Good luck!

vinegar works great. you can also use vinegar to mop your floors with, clean mirrors and windows, clean bathrooms. It's great.

You can put raw rice in with soapy water or vinegar and swish it around. This works best on deep cups, glasses and vases. It works like an abrasive and knocks off any crud or ring in the glass.

Thanks for all the ideas! Unfortunately due to a medical condition I cannot use/ingest vinegar (and many other things) at all. So...your ideas got me thinking....I had some pure lemon juice in the fridge that I wasn't using. I put it in the smaller mug I use and added some water and voila! It has already started working it's magic after only 15 minutes :-)
Okay, just came back from viewing the mug...it's better than it was, but not as good as it could be. Maybe an overnight soaking would take care of it. Sure is r-e-a-l-l-y bright, sparkly white

I use Dishwasher powder, the kind you would use in am electric dishwasher like Calgon or Electra-Sol...pick up a small box at Dollar store and it works wonders on mugs, cups and pots that are heavily stained.

I have used Borax on ceramic and porcelain mugs/cups and it has really worked well. Shirley - glad you found something that works!

I like the idea of Mr Clean magic eraser. I'll be trying it on my tea-stained cups!
