It is a heavy canvas. I am loving it, I have never had a pullover apron and this is going to work so well for the garden. The pocket is big enough to hold a lot of stuff.
A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

I have some of that fabric, too - I love it. I've made Dish Drainer Quilts and Potholders with it several times.
Love all the aprons. MJF has some very talented ladies.

I received my apron from Amy today and I love it! It is truly one of a kind. (The shadows in the pictures are from the computer screen - no marks on the apron.)
It is entirely done by hand and was made with a 36" wide piece of fabric - I can tell because there is a selvedge edge at both sides of the skirt. This is a blue and white check gingham with simple blue and red hand embroidered embellishments, and the embellishments are made using the gingham squares as guides. The waistband is so different than anything I have seen before - it is not attached separately but is the same piece of fabric as the skirt, folded over the width of the waistband at the top edge, and pleated along the "waistband". And, in addition, the embroidery at the top is done to hold the folded edge and pleats in place. The pleats are irregular, in that they are not all the same size, but they are done to achieve the size the waistband is to be. The hem is also fabric folded around for the hem with the embroidery holding the hem fabric in place. I love love love the originality of this apron.

I'm SO excited! I got the most beautiful apron! Jean, you're work is gorgeous! All the detail that was put into this piece...I'm going to treasure it always! The pockets are perfect for collecting eggs and the fabric and embroidery...Wow!
