A farm girl, whose name I won't mention,, heeheehee.
Sent me a challenge,,, working in small scale, I did use a wee bit of my French language skills!!(wink wink)! But I muddled through and here is the end result.
And yes, I sewed it on my Feather Weight and hand turned to sew as opposed to using the electric peddle.
Since I don't have the tiny size button holer I rotary hand stitched the 'eyelet' size button hole.

I had to get a little creative with this pattern, making some modifications that worked for me... but all and all I like the end result.
Not perfect, but should I decide to make another one, it will be easier.

This is a Dresden Plate spool coaster, check out the "Feather Weight Shop" in Kooskie, Idaho.
They have great stuff and they even sell refurbished Singer 221 Feather Weight machines.

Cute spool coaster, Grace. That IS tiny! Would be a fun project - though a bit small? LOL!

I only used 2 diff prints of fabrics for this one,, but if you have about 12... 2"sqs, of different fabric, {as you can see in the 1st photo} it probably would be super cute!

Karen,, are you ready to make one? heeheehee!

Debbie-Yep!!

Linda, tiny pieces is an understatment! haha!

Jean-ROTFLMBO!

Trust me, it was interesting to work with such small pieces... but I rewarded myself with a glass
of beer and a piece of dark chocolate (store bought) pound cake,, haha!

Oh my gosh, Katmom was right . . . talk about tiny. We are talking T I N Y. Add to that being blind in one eye with diminished sight in the other resulting in NO depth perception and it really was quite the challenge for me. But I simply couldn't let her have all the fun by herself. Now if you go to the Featherweight Shop website and sign up to receive their emails, you can get this adorable spool holder pattern for free I found. And if you don't want to be bothered cutting all the tiny pieces, you can even buy little kits with everything precut. Sew I decided to spend my Superbowl Sunday making one. Now mind you, my work is pretty sloppy . . . kinda tends to be that way when you can't see what you're doing. LOL. But I finished one. Think I'll make another for my other Featherweight and call it good. I could never make these itsy bitsy things neat enough to gift them. But I encourage y'all to take a couple of hours and make one at least for yourself. It really is a fun little project.

I signed up, but no free pattern yet.

Also, Grace, did you scroll down and look at the picture of a featherweight by the Video Tutorials heading? It has a Yoyo Spool holder. That's right up your alley!

You are just way to clever. You really know how to use your sewing machine. When I do find mine
it doesn't make any where near the nice things yours does.
Such cute and pretty things you do!!

I think we should rent a cruise ship just for MJF gals Only,, and have a sewing, crafting, crochet/knitting, card making cruise...
We would sail off to a warm island, be catered and pampered ...
Ahh!, In my mind, I can see us now, crafting to our hearts content, and when we arrive home, our luggage will be full of Finished projects!

Ok, enough lolly gagging, Time to make a cup of tea and clean off my sewing table.

Happy Valentine day....

Oh my goodness what a tremendous idea. Where do I sign up? Do you need me to send a deposit right away? How soon can we go? It's snowing again here -- I'd like to leave tomorrow if we can. Thank you very much.
