Can I make blueberry preserves with frozen blueberries? I have a ton in my freezer that we picked last year. Wondering if they would make a good preserve.

My mom makes jams and jellys out of frozen berries alot. I did make a pie not long ago, that turned out excellant. I am trying to remember where the recipe is. I know it had a baked pie crust, and you just cooked up the berries, corn starch and sugar on the stove top, then once thick poured in the pie shell, and cool. Michele And if it does not get thick enough, just use on ice cream. yummy

When I use frozen berries I make jam and jelly. Fresh berries tend to lose a lot of their juice so I jelly that and use the fruit for jam. It makes a nice thick jam that looks good in the jars.
