Fawn, your package will go on Monday also. Thanks for sending your address again. I had fun with this too. Always nice to have a real excuse to go to the thrift shops! I can't wait to see what everyone gets in their surprise boxes! JudyBlueEyes

We should be hearing about some more thrift store goodies soon, it'll be fun to see what each of us come up with from our area. I know some will do better than others esp. if you have larger stores but the fun is to shower your partner with second hand goods that will have a new home from a new friend, so enjoy it! NancyJo, your box goes out tomorrow too!

Don't worry sis, your not the only one, I should of said something sooner, but no biggie, were going with the honor system, I trust everyone spent just $5 so everyone will have a fair chance at the extra prize. Enjoy your goodies!!

Oh Katleyn, I have been excited when this since this swap started. Your parcel was mailed out on Friday, but I am not sure how long it will take. Hubby is the one that stopped at the post office.

Marybeth - I mailed your package out Monday priority mail. I overpacked it....I always over pack things...this comes from too many broken ebay packages(combination of post office negligence and sender sloppiness). I'm just paranoid for now. Bear with me, I'm sure I'll get better eventually. :D

Box from Karin, Mumof3 came today. WOW. She did wonderful and found things that I love. A blouse that's brand new; still in pkg pre cut Birds in Flight quilt pieces (640 triangles in soft green and blue on white); a gallon bag full of sewing stuff (wood thread spools, old buttons on cards, vintage needle packs, scraps of trim and a tiny kitty tin that my daughter will claim when she sees it). AND, a very vintage quilted pillow top of prairie points like I've never seen before. I nominate her for the prize!! She added a dress of mostly linen white fabric that will be wonderful for my heirloom sewing. I'm extremely happy with my treasures, they are things I would have chosen for myself. My thanks to Karin.

OhMyGosh! I'm not Worthy! I received my package from Fawn today and as I was opening it (and it was big!) I kept thinking "we were only supposed to spend $5!!!). I am just thrilled! Inside was a beautiful tapestry in an apple orchard called "Orchard Inn" with a wooden hanging dowel ($2.50); four measuring pitchers that are just darling ($.50 for all of them!); a Native American Chief bust ($.50), carved out of West Virginia coal (Fawn lives in WV) - he is going on my altar; a beautiful white cutwork table cloth that is perfect on my table in the breakfast nook, and it has butterflies on it ($.50); and a Friendship Angel Doll made out of a dish cloth - very cute ($1.00)! I couldn't believe as I kept opening all my goodies! I took pictures, and they are on my Webshots album, but FAWN - IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT YOUR PACKAGE YET, DON'T LOOK cause it has what I sent Fawn also, and my doll exchange doll and the doll I got from Tina and some from Cabin Creek Frannie. This was SO MUCH FUN - thanks to all and I can't wait to see what everyone else got too! I am sooooo a thrift store junkie! Have fun, everyone! Judy

I am so glad that you liked everything I sent you. But....have to tell you ... I got some great stuff...Judith got me these 2 beautiful candle holders that went straight to my living room....they have a wooden base with amber globes...just beautiful. And she got me a wooden doll and an angel that looks wonderful in my entryway. And she got me a birdhouse with a moose on top of it and it matches my comforter perfectly...as my bedroom is rustic wildlife...You did wonderful...and thank you sooooooo much. I had so much fun... I will try to post pictures soon.
Been away for a couple of days and now playing catch up.

Checked out your blog, Marybeth. The picture looks great! And yes, Sammy Hagar did sign the backstage pass. My dh used to bring home the occasional 'souvenir' when he worked concerts.(He wasn't supposed to ask the performers for anything, but he was 'in charge' of the stage security, so sometimes he snuck something home to me. :D
Junebug - drawing a name sounds good to me, too. Judging would be just impossible.
